Do you see Christians as brothers and sisters in faith? Is Islam and Christianity not very similar overall? Do you feel we share the same God/Allah? Are Christians outright sinning if they do not follow Mohamed's (PBUH) teachings? Views please!

I have many muslim friends and they don't see christians in a bad light at all.
It's tough to see the way other people treat them though, as if they're waiting any second for one of them to blow something up.

Very generalized question I must say. How can a person express a majority view on its own? I can only speak for myself and I can tell you that I look at all people of any faith, no matter if the are Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Jain, Hindus etc., as my brothers and sisters in humanity. Even irrespective of cast and creed because if I don't even think like that, what to talk of acting against it, how can I even call myself as a 'Muslim' surely my certificate of being a true Muslim is not going to be given to me by some theologian instead of 'Allah', "the God".

Regardless of differences, Christians are viewed as people of faith. Many Christians are honest, sincere, hard-working people who haven't come to understand Prophet Muhammad (Allah's Peace be upon him) yet.

:)

I see a good Christians as brothers and sisters. I see a bad christians as a creation of G-d, accept them as it is. I don't hate people because of religion, I don't like the act, not the person and I fell sad.

I am a Muslim and I believe Jesus son of Mary as the bible said so.

peace

peace be upon you
i am muslim and i have no problem with christianity or other religions .as i am to be muslim ,i have to believe in all messengers including the Jesus and should believe in all Holy Books.
I am in Egypt and live together muslims and christians in peace , but seem there are people in other countries want to destroy the peace between of us.
christans are our neighbours in the street and our collagues in the collage and everywhere.
we know that religion is for the God and Home for all.
The God siad wt means that "there is no compulsion in religion". we can't force anybody to be muslim ,everyone have the absolute freedom to enter Islam or not .
Every one free to practice his religion But we must respect each other and don't let any body plant hatred between of us.

True follower of Prophet Jesus in fact is Muslim.
Jesus preached to worship Almighty not Him.
There is no question that Muslims do not consider followers of Prophet Jesus as brothers and sisters.
If Christian means following Jesus in ture sense, then Muslims are true Christians because Muslims follow and love Jesus by Heart and religiousely aswell.
No Muslim is true Muslim unless have unconditional faith on Prophet Moses, Jesus and other true Prophets of The God Almighty.

Peace.

I have mixed feeling due to my observation of many many years.
I see lots are very decent un-prejudiced Americans who are willing to help any one.
Most young men are friendly and women are kind, sweet and understanding.
Most of the Middle aged do not trust non-White people and I am not surprized if they hate most non-white people.
Most older folks are very scared and think every body want to steel from them specially if they see Black and Mexicans.
Children don't know what prejudice is, untill go grow up. Parents teach them to be prejudice.
When it comes to employment most Americans hate to see Blacks, Mexicans and other foreiners working by their side. But most employers like to hire foreigners than white people because they produce more and keep working without supervison as compared to white men and women. I have seen lots of both black and white folks also very hard working and deligient. I don't mean all white and black people are lazy.
I have seen Americans giving their own lives to save others. This is # 1 greatness America has.

I see too much importance to love. I see parents risking lives of their daughters and their chastity by letting them go out with boys alone to find Love and they end up loosing virginity. Their hearts and minds hurt badly over and over in their life. This is the worst thing parens do to them in the name of love.
For the same reason they oppose separate schools for boys and girls. For same reason they don't want teachiers teach them in schools abstenance from sex and instead they prefer giving them not to get pregnant and want to pass them condom. This is shame. Family structure is ruining, too many illigitimate children are born and young girls suffer all their lives in the name of finding LOVE.
I read yesterday some mothers saying on this R&S that they give condoms to their sons. Only one man out of 10 to 15 answers said I will beat my son if he asks me for condoms and will lock him in until he grows up...... He must be from some other country.
This love and sex is the main problem that American school boys and girls are hehind Asian students in excelling in education because their parents do not allow such a crap and control their children whom they talk and whom they friends us.
Parents encourage children to work and earn their money at early age and make them money mind and materialistic. This affects their education also.
Sorry I don't want to continue writing on this subject. I know some of you will start hating me even though I speak the truth.

your right christianity and islam are very similair relgions as many ppl don't relaise the only difference i see is that christains worship jesus as they beleive he is god? instead of worshiping god himself and praising jesus as a 'messenger'?
i don't treat christians any different, we all have our own religion, values in life and we should repect one another.

Christians and Jews are called in Quran people of the book, in order to become true Muslims we should believe in the Torah and the Bible as books revealed from Allah (God) and believe in all Messengers and prophets (Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Jesus, and the seal of the prophets Mohammed (PBU them all).

Quran, 002.087
YUSUFALI's Interpretation of the meaning:
"We gave Moses the Book and followed him up with a succession of messengers; We gave Jesus the son of Mary Clear (Signs) and strengthened him with the holy spirit. Is it that whenever there comes to you a messenger with what ye yourselves desire not, ye are puffed up with pride?- Some ye called impostors, and others ye slay!"

Quran,002.136
YUSUFALI's Interpretation of the meaning:
"Say ye: "We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) prophets from their Lord: We make no difference between one and another of them: And we bow to Allah (in Islam)."

Quran,003.003
YUSUFALI's Interpretation of the meaning:
"It is He Who sent down to thee (step by step), in truth, the Book, confirming what went before it; and He sent down the Law (of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus) before this, as a guide to mankind, and He sent down the criterion (of judgment between right and wrong)."

So yes we all worship the same God (Allah) that's why there are similarities in the three religions, but the difference is in the base of the religion of God which says clearly from the begining of our father Adam (PBUH) to prophet Mohammed (PBUH) that there's only ONE true God and however who associates with him other deities or doesn't believe in all his messengers and prophets would be forbidden to enter paradise

Quran,005.072
YUSUFALI's Interpretation of the meaning:
"They do blaspheme who say: "Allah is Christ the son of Mary." But said Christ: "O Children of Israel! worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Whoever joins other gods with Allah,- Allah will forbid him the garden, and the Fire will be his abode. There will for the wrong-doers be no one to help."

As you see this is what Jesus (PBUH) himself told the Children of Israel

004.171
YUSUFALI: O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His messengers. Say not "Trinity" : desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.

As for the Jews they didn't even believe in Jesus (PBUH) so how would they enter paradise???

Muslims think of Christians the same way Crhistians think of Jews, they both didn't believe in God's messengers (Jesus and Mohammed PBU them both, that's another reason of forbidding followers of both religions from enetering Paradise.
But all that doesn't make from us ennemies, as Muslims we are asked to respect the people of the book (Jews and Christians) because they're the closest to us in faith and they can live amongst us in peace and harmony in only one condition: not making war at Muslims or attacking them.
