all their blabber are supposed to be funny when other people say it, but maybe fundies don't deliver their jokes right. when some people say, "oh, go to hell", it doesn't sound offensive at all, but when they are the ones who say those words, it's just so annoying.
what do you people think, does it have something to do with how fundies deliver their jokes?

seiously though, I don't appreciate disrespecting the things that other people hold as sacred, like Jesus. that's just tasteless.

honestly i think bible-fundies/basically protestants sadly fallen away from the fullness of truth, have put themselves on a pedestal or a league of their own. they are better,they know the bible(supposedly,yet don't practice eucharist amongst otherthings) and what they teach is right,despite the fact you turn the corner of the street and the next bible-fundie pastor has a different message and way of doing things.
the whole thing is corrupt with sad false teachings like sola scriptura, sola fide etc..........which all means something else to someone else!!!!!!
i don't find anything funny in how they tell their jokes,how they deliver the jokes and the message of the jokes, when did WORSHIP BECOME A JOKE!!!!!!!?
did jesus tell jokes along the way of his mission or did i miss that part? worship isn't a feel good emotion or a play on feel good emotions in the sense the protestants portray it, oh this pastor is funny or i feel more comfortable with these people, the pastor doesn't need to be funny and you should feel good with everyone.
the sacrafice of the cross, the death of jesus was no joke, and his resurrection is no joke lets pay his life death and resurrection with the adoration and worship with which it is due, if you want to do so go to the catholic mass and find what worship is all about.

may i also add, the holy spirit is not the author of confusion, these divisions i think (imho) come from another source. our brothers and sisters in christ are free to salvation, they may not have the fullness of truth as the catholic church does, however i have seen many times that the divisions in christianity have served no better purpose than to turn people like atheists,agnostics away from the truth, if we can't agree on the one truth we are called to, then why should other people? for atheists and agnostics that is my observance as a chrisitian and doesn't apply to all of you and nor was it intended to insult you either.

wow, I wasn't even aware that Bible-fundies have a sense of humor. That's news to me!
The humorous part is small minds making large accusations (such as who gets the privilege of burning in hell, while others are blissfully happy in fundie heaven).
Or how about claiming they know the Bible better that Jesus' own 2,000 year old Church which compiled it in the first place? That's humorous too.
How about the fact they can look around at over 30,000 denominations of churches and NOT be able to realize, "Hey, something isn't right about this!" That's stupefying to say the least.

I asked a question about the California fire yesterday and laid on the divine retribution aspect. It was meant as spoof and was not intended to be taken seriously.
I got an answer that I thought was taking the level of satire to a much higher level. It was blaming the wildfires specifically on one float in the last San Francisco Gay Pride Parade.
Because I thought it was a funny piece of satire and totally over the top I gave it a best answer.
I then got an email from the person who posted it that demonstrated that it was not a satire, that she was totally serious and totally insane in her religious belief.
Yes there are people out there that believe God punishes innocent people because he is annoyed at something absolutely unrelated to them.
Those types of believers have no sense of humour at all. They believe what they are saying quite literally. They are mentally ill and deserve our pity, not our anger.
They sure can be annoying though.

I would say that your premise is false. There are too many kinds of people who become christians. It is not accurate to generalize.
We each have a belief system that leads us to our personal conclusions.
Try not to let them offend you. There are cooler things to move on to!
