So would I (read the name). But since I have respect for people who are dearly in love with their religion, I would hope that it isn't so much a "cult" as it is a belief, because that's exactly what religions are, cults! Think about it, a group of people follows a single person telling them what to do and how to behave. Most of these cult leaders have a foot-soldier to do their bidding for them. If one should truly believe in their religion then do not believe in your leader, for if you do you are then controlled by a dictatorship (and don't try to tell me otherwise because you know it's true), just believe in yourself, believe that what you are doing is right in the world (for those on here who aren't criminals) and believe that there's more to life than pleasing a non-existent being.

The competition. In saying that I don't mean get rid of all the religions that I don't view as right. I mean, they need to stop competing with each other about who is right and who is wrong.

The proselytizing. I think religion is typically fine so long as it's used as a personal tool, not a public cause.

The part that makes people think they have to engage in rituals and do all kinds of stuff to please God.
That way people would understand that because of what God did for them when Jesus died on the cross, they don't have to try to impress God. God already loves them so much, he would rather die than live without them.
There is nothing we can do to impress God and religious rituals are a perversion of the love relationship God has in store for us as adopted children through Jesus Christ.
