HE ANSWERED AND SAID UNTO THEM, BECAUSE IT IS GIVEN UNTO YOU TO KNOW THE MYSTERIES OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, BUT TO THEM IT IS NOT GIVEN. PAUL WRITES IN GALATIANS 1:12 FOR I NEITHER RECEIVED IT OF MAN NEITHER WAS I TAUGHT IT, BUT BY THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST.

Jesus is talking to his disciples, so for that moment it is directed at those disciples. Over all it is directed to any that is a disciple of Christ Jesus. A disciple of Jesus is one who is born again and is a follower of Christ.

Them is all those that are not born again, as they do not receive spiritual insight given by the Holy Spirit, they are blind to it.

When we ask Jesus into our lives to be our personal savior, is the beginning of a new life; as a believer. This is when we are just learning God's ways, so we are not given the mysteries of The Kingdom yet. But; as a believer of God, The Son and The Holy Spirit, He will eventually reveal those mysteries to us. At this time in His word He was speaking to the disciples in which, was maturing in Christ, so they understood what He was saying. They were taught by Jesus Himself on how to be spiritual and given wisdom, knowledge and understanding by God; to know these mysteries; that He spoke of. "You" is those that are matured enough in Christ that can fully understand, have wisdom, and knowledge of the mysteries that is spoken to them or read about in God's word.

YOU is referring to those that are truly Gods, who love and obey Him and follow Jesus all the way. When we are in Christ, God will give more discernment and more revelation knowledge. And I tell you what, so few today eperience this, as most want to play at being Christian and still living the ways of the world. We are either fully GOds or we arent His at all. Tho none of us have reached perfectioon yet, we will if we walk in obedience to God. Jesus was obeying the Father unto perfect obedience, and He was sinless, that is our high calling too. WE can only do that , if we are fully submitted to God and living as He says to living, and by the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit that lives within.
In these last days, more and more that are truly FULLY GOds are receiving such last day discernment, and more revleation knowledge. Knowledge, when it is Gods, is power and we can begin to live the live as a overcomer, as we are called to do. By the power of Jesus blood and the Holy Spirit given to us, we are to NOW be overcomers over sin, and it can only be done thru obedience. WEll worth whatever we have to give back to God. Instead of saying HOW LITTLE DO WE HAVE TO GIVE TO GET THRU THE PEARLY GATES< we should be saying WHAT MORE CAN I DO FOR YOU LORD.
Being willing to give it all for God, even our own life if necessary. Jesus gave His life for us, how can we consider doing less for Him.
Great question, and good to see you back on here again, havent seen you much lately.
God bless you to overflow bud....

Parables, in themselves, were impossible to unravel. Unless explained, the speaker’s ultimate meaning remained hidden. Thus, the disciples were curious. Why did Jesus tell stories which at first concealed truth, and only later revealed it?
Let’s digress to be crystal clear about two facts. One, Jesus never taught in ways that people would find impossible to understand. Christ came to reveal, not hide, truth. Had He wanted us ignorant, He would never have spoken at all.
Two, Jesus did not limit truth to an elite few. There’s no first class and second class, no bluebirds and buzzards. He loves all, His mercy is infinite. Even what looks harsh at first glance on the surface is tempered with and dipped in love.
Now we come back to the Disciples’ question. Why did Jesus use parables?

Matt. 13:11 (Holman) He answered them, “Because the secrets of the
kingdom of heaven have been given for you to know, but it
has not been given to them.”

Jesus said He spoke in parables because the Twelve would understand them, but unbelievers would not. This certainly seems to contradict the two points I just digressed to make. We would be wise to explore this baffling labyrinth farther.

This illustrates the same crux each person faces when they hear a parable or other part of God’s Word. Their response tells them how much they value Jesus.
For some, the Holy Spirit blows past them, making no more impression on them than wind blowing through an archway. Ask yourself, “Do I hear Him? Do I want to hear Him? Am I obeying? Do I want to obey? Am I more surrendered than ever before? Do I love to pray, love to read the Bible, love God’s people?”
These questions matter. They reveal which direction the spiritual winds are blowing in our lives. The good news is, if the wind is unfavorable, we can change its direction.
The benefit of God’s Word is lost on unconcerned hearts, but the moment they become willing to learn, what had been hidden truth suddenly becomes revealed truth. As long as people say no to Jesus’ message, they worsen, but the instant they begin to say yes, the same parables and other teachings which made little sense before now prove profitable.

"You" was the people actually listening to him when he said this--his inner circle of disciples. "Them" meant all those other people "out there" in the world--and I don't thing the phrase was meant to be a condemnation of those other people. Jesus was imparting specific teachings (like a rabbi or "guru") to his students--inner circle teachings are "deeper" and more intimate than teachings given to the general public. That's all that is meant here.

We also find someting similar in some of the Gnostic gospels wherein Jesus is depicted as telling Mary Magdalene things that he didn't tell his other disciples because she, he is quoted as saying, she "got" what he was saying and the other disciples didn't.

"He who has ears, let him [really] hear," you know what I mean?

God reveals HIS mysteries to those who believe and seek HIM through His Holy Spirit.

Luke 10

21 At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.

22 "All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him."

23 Then he turned to his disciples and said privately, "Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.

24 For I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it."

Daniel 2:27-29

27 Daniel replied, "No wise man, enchanter, magician or diviner can explain to the king the mystery he has asked about, 28 but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries. He has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in days to come. Your dream and the visions that passed through your mind as you lay on your bed are these:

29 "As you were lying there, O king, your mind turned to things to come, and the revealer of mysteries showed you what is going to happen.

10And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

11He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

He had just been addressing the multitude (crowd) and the disciples were with him and when he and the disciples went away from the crowd he answered the question in verse 10 which was asked by the disciples.....

YOU is the disciples.

When one comes into that personal relationship with Christ, our minds are renewed from our OLD way of thinking, & we become "in-tune", with God's mind. It is a revelation to us, that cannot be achieved by human ability!

Romans 12
Living Sacrifices
1Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual[a] act of worship. 2Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

the mystery of a wife....and why you have to be like a angel.

I still wonder why my brothers never asked God in prayer why they have to be like the angels and not love your wife? It shows me no one seeks the Lord or do not care about there marriage to even ask. Kinda like I can not wait for heaven to get away from my wife and be like the angels.....and I like biblephilosiphers thinking......one can become perfect and show the world the cross was not needed and all it was was a act of love because no one seeks his face.
