To Theists (the real name for fundies.): When will you disprove god, lay down your books, and not to be rude, but become logical in thought?

Im not even sure what i am anymore.

I will believe in god the minute he does the following:

1) knocks on my door
2) touches my head and causes all my hair to grow back
3) pulls a bunny rabbit out of my ear
4) brings my dead grandma from the grave to say hi
5) asks for a beer

As a scientist, I'm not giving up books for you, and if you think theism, which includes MANY RELIGIONS other than Christianity is the same as fundamentalism, you're not one to tell anyone what is logical in thought.

Maybe you should pick up a dictionary.
theism:belief in the existence of a god or gods

All I require is a bit of solid evidence. It should be easy: just a little something that is plainly not a stage-magic trick, or a personal hallucination.

I've previously made the suggestion that if a deity wants to end all holy wars overnight, he could just have something like 'I AM THAT I AM' appear in words of fire floating in the air in the United Nations General Assembly hall during a full session.

Not only will I be an instant convert, but I'll be very grateful. It'll be fascinating to have a universe with a deity in it, and a great subject for scientific study.

Unfortunately I have not the slightest doubt that this won't happen, because there isn't one.

I send you electronic hugs and well wishes for devising a question that offends everyone equally and at once.

Being in the "fundie" camp, I would have to say that I am not looking to disprove God. Secondly, since when did "putting down books" become a sound and rational piece of advice? Don't we learn and grow and become better people the more we read?

As a "theist", I believe that my thoughts are perfectly logical.

There is a sun and a moon in the sky. How did they get there? (Big Bang) Who caused this "Big Bang"?

How is it that when a sperm and an ovum get together, something causes life to create a being? Who made it that way? What's that "spark"? Why can we not recreate this "spark"?

Until these questions can be answered I will believe it was Yahweh.

God loves you, He created you. Your problem is you have just not figured out your personal philosophies yet. Keep trying. Be open and listen, but don't try to race to a conclusion, it make take a whole life of living.

I would like to answer that question even though I am not an atheists. Some will never believe until judgement day when they are looking God Jehovah in the face trying to explain why they didn't believe in him and mocked his name. May God Bless You.

When will I become logical in thought? Since you're not aure what you are, how about we do some basic Aristoltelian logic, then.

We appear to each other only through online avatars.

Online avatars do not have a separate existence.

Therefore we don't exist.

That isn't a question, really.

It's like me asking: When will you become asexual? I mean any type of asexual?

I'm not here to convert or be converted, I'm here because I want some questions answered. And I like answering questions.

"When will you start believing in god".

Asking 'when' assumes I will at some point. I may not. Evidence points to a reasonable assumption that I will remain an atheist.

I would start believing in god if someone provided evidence which convinced me that the existance of god was a more probable answer to questions than my currently held point(s) of view.
