I am not religious, but my boyfriend is. He is a sincere Christian. He loves church and I do believe that God is the most important to him in this world. He has been writing checks and donating 700$ each month to church since long time ago. I feel it is a lot of money to donate. What can I do about it?

Given that the history of God traces Him back to the times when the tribe of Israel was in Egypt and adopted the Arab notion of God, what makes you think he is on the side of the USA when you are in Iraq killing Iraquis?

First, I would like to say it seems like a great translation. There are a lot of pages filled with explanations and a history of Muhammad. I would like to have a few other sites for reference as I read from the Qur'an. Do you have any suggestions?

If anyone else is interested in getting one, they are available for free at http://www.freekoran.com/ . I would suggest it to anyone interested in learning about Islam it includes a lot of information that explains what various passages mean, a few definitions of words, and a history. No I am not a Muslim, but I do like learning about religions.

The Bible does say that if one eats and drinks unworthily then he is guilty of the body and blood of Christ. But if you are only eating a symbol of his body and blood, then wouldn't you be guilty of a symbol? And how is that possible?

I mean..I know that Jesus literally and explicitly tells us in chapter 6 of John that it truly is his flesh and blood, but not everyone believes what Jesus said...

I've been blocked by a couple people here and there, and okay, tat's their perrogative, but for myself, I don't like to block and haven't because I truly believe that everyone has worthwhile things to contribute. I like seeing ideas that differ from my own. Sometimes they make me sad, sometimes they make me mad, but they always make me think, and that's why I come here.

If you block people, why? Not specific people - that's between you and the Yamster - but what sort of criteria do you use? What makes you want to sheild yourself from someone's opinion?

Just curious. :-)

I often hear that Christians are are just wishful thinking or atheists don't want to be responsible for their sins and this is why we believe / don't believe.

Personally, I would prefer that there was a God, but I still dont believe there is.

Do your beliefs coincide with what you desire to be true?

This was true when I was in Panama from 1982 until 1989. I would wonder the streets and people would make fun of my purple dress. I thought it was weather appropriate. Excuse me!

Would you please find God?

First and foremost, this is not meant to be insulting but a genuine inquiry. If you are or are not polytheistic it does not mean I think any less of you or your religion. I like a lot of Mormons and find the religion fascinating.

So here goes, from what I have read from various articles on the net from LDS.

1. Heavenly Father is God.
2. Jesus is God.
3. The Holy Spirit is God.

This combined with the belief that all three are seperate personages united in purpose.

Now even President Gordon B. Hinckley expressed that he worships Jesus.

I have even seen dispute, some mormons say they do worship Jesus, others say they don't. If you worship to separate personages even if they are united in purpose doesn't that make you polytheistic.

This question is not meant as a place to bash Mormons, please be respectful.

If you don't know, and just belief you aren't self-proclaiming, please support your belief by giving reasons why you feel your belief is reasonable.

Thank you all for taking the time to answer.

PS: Self-proclaiming ,to me, means blind faith. Or that, "You just believe because you don't want to go to Hell." Or, "You just believe because you believe."

PLEASE refer back to this question, as I will be responding to almost everyone. Thanks guys. God Bless.

Much as it would be awesome to make them fight to the death or something..... I'm just asking out of pure curiosity which of the two of them the general populace believes to be the more extreme christian?

Primoa seems internally consistant... and at least speaks for himself, though he seems entirely out of touch with reality to a downright hilarious level... and hates Catholics.

Mr Judah on the other hand is a rampant citation-machine who quite possibly has never touched any keys on the keyboard besides Ctrl, C and V.

But which of the two of them loves Jesus more?
THAT is the question!

The RCC has not made an official declaration of the shroud saying neither if it is really a holy relic or a false hoax created by an artist. They leave it up to the faithful to interpret.

So I ask you, is it really holy or is it the work of a humour artist?

I mean just look at the earth its perfectly distanced from the sun so we dont burn to death or freeze, an oxygen for that matter just the right amount of H2O to breath just the human body itself is a wonder i dont see how people can limit themselves by saying there here by chance when we're truely blessed an you should thank God everyday for waking you up even though you deny him that itself is a miracle

Christian bashing is intolerence in it's ugliest form. If you Christian bashers would free your minds of what have become something worse than stereotypes, you might begin to enjoy the prescence of God in your lives and not be so irritated like spoiled brats who don't get their way. Christianity isn't about being perfect, it's about The Son of God, Jesus Christ! What you do with Him determines your destiny...Heaven or Hell!
