Given that the history of God traces Him back to the times when the tribe of Israel was in Egypt and adopted the Arab notion of God, what makes you think he is on the side of the USA when you are in Iraq killing Iraquis?

I don't think that God is on the side of the USA. It said "Gott mitt uns" on the German soldier's belt buckles in WWII - they didn't seem to be right about that either.

As to why the US is in Iraq killing Iraqis: because the president of the United States LIED about the real reasons for going there. The US shouldn't leave until the situation is stabilized, but the US should leave eventually - it isn't our country - its THEIR country. And in case you are wondering, I am an American - that does NOT like the policies of our current government, along with about 70% of the rest of Americans!

God, as I understand it, doesn't take sides. It's up to us to take His side.

Actually, the history of God is traced back to the beginning...before Israel.

Personally, I believe God used the US and her few allies to eliminate the oppressive regime in Iraq. Certainly, the US military isn't 'God's army' but there were numerous times God allowed people who didn't even believe in Him to conquer nations because of disobedience. I don't think things have changed.

My greatest concern is that if we continue on the course we're headed (no prayer in schools, no commandments in courts, no Christmas in public buildings) we won't be on God's side and we'll end up like Sodom and Gomorrah.

God is on the side of righteousness, not on the side of any modern nation. The Arabs and the Egyptians worshiped many gods at that time (although there was no group known as Arabs then either).

By the way, there are many more Iraqis killing other Iraqis than there are Americans killing Iraqis.

Because they brainwash American kids from a young age into thinking everything in this country is great. They also brainwash kids into believing in god. God is good. The USA is good, therefore, god must be on the USA's side.

God is a dictator. So naturally God would be a big fan of our democratic republic with elected officials and three branches which share power.

God is religious. So naturally God would be a big fan of the most successful and longest lasting SECULAR government ever to exist.

Many Bible stories take place in Iraq, to many Christians you would think they would be devastated that the Holy Land where Jesus supposedly walked is being blown to pieces, but they never think outside the box, Their selfness consumes them, if I did believe in their God, I would place my bet on Iraq!

The ancient Egyptians weren't Arabs, they weren't monothesists (except for a brief period under Akhenaten), I'm not American, and God isn't.
