there are six expressions of faith in the scriptures 1.the Faith refers to a christians belief(Jude3) 2.Saving Faith is trusting in Christ and in Him alone for salvation (Acts 16:31) 3.Justifying faith is the believers reliance on the fact that God has declared him righteous(Gen. 15:6) 4. Indwelling Faith is trusting God's Word in and through us (Gal. 2:20) 5. Daily Faith is the day by day dependence on God which is part of the sanctification process(2 Cor. 5:7. The gift of Faith is a special ability of Faith,resulting in a vision of what God can do, faith that is the means by which we can achieve that vision, and the power with God to get answers to prayer(Heb 11:1-3) It is impossiable to serve GOD without Faith.!

The bible doesn't define things generally.
If you're lucky you will get the occasional vague descriptor about things.... like horse-like emissions and scary metal locusts.... but on the whole the bible fails at defining anything...
... let alone Faith.
The dictionary on the other hand for all intents and purposes describes Faith as believing in something without any supporting evidence nor reason to do so.

Faith is trusting that God is smart enough to have a plan for the salvation of each and every one of us that is going to work 100 percent of the time, no exceptions.
This is what real faith looks like.
Thinking that God is not this smart is a complete lack of faith.
The bible asks for Blind faith in utter nonsense.
