Again I am listening to EWTN live and the Priest is talking about the Internet. He was saying that true Catholics do not bash people who don't happen to believe in the same thing we believe in or even those who don't believe in God at all. We should sincerely answer their questions with respect and kindness. Otherwise we are not being Christ like. We should try and answer their questions as truthfully as we can. Go to the Catholic websites and try and give them the most informative, and truthful answers that we can give them.I have to admit I have lost my temper and said some pretty cruel things, and I am sorry for that. We can sometimes be so ignorant without really realizing it, and speak before we think. Thank you for the wake up call Father.

I did not mean to say true Catholics don't, but Christians don't. We can be true Catholics and Christians and make mistakes.

Galatians 5:22-23 tells us, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control..." The fruit of the Holy Spirit are the results of the Holy Spirit taking a role in the life of a Christian.

Have a blessed day.

That's awesome. I'm excited for you that the Lord has opened your eyes to this and I'm praying for you that you'll be able to be obedient to His leading in this matter.

I'm sorry that this very nice post, which shows growth and humility, has been met with derision because people don't agree with Catholism or Christianity. Personally, I find many aspects of RCC theology pretty unsettling but I'm saddened that no one is supporting you in this. God bless, sister. :)

Edit to add: It does't matter if others are being mocking or insulting to us or to God. We are to turn the other cheek to them. You know, love your enemies, pray for those who persecute you and what-not. ;)

The priest is right. But I don't think that applies when a non-believer is mocking God, telling lies, or being a potty mouth.

And I'm still right here, ol CJ - to keep correcting the lies you spread.

But poster, good post. I see FAR FAR less bashing from Catholics than I do from the crazy __________

That's wonderful. Now maybe you can listen to your Father when he tells you other things too.

Only the Abrahamic religions attack everyone, even each other.

You could not pay me enough money to set foot in a Christian church again.

LOL you might want to pass this along to "spiritroaming", who has an obsession with my posts and can't cease to follow me around everywhere.

Try not to confuse those poor people with the truth. It is an unknown to them.
