Genesis 1:6-8:"And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day." So the heavens, or sky, is a FIRMament, a solid object (unless you know some meaning of "firm" that means "air") that divides the water from the water--there is water over the wky, then. They probably thought that because both the sky and the sea are blue. And then in verse 9:"And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so." So God made the water reveal the Earth as under the sky, and the sky holds up the water above. Genesis 8:2 corroborates this picture, if you read it. Would just one creationist say they believe that is how it is?

I copy the list as a courtesy, or maybe just so you will read it and weep, or whatever, all you atheists and sorcerers, etc.

1. The cowardly
2. Unbelievers
3. They that are abominable
4. Murderers
5. Immoral persons
6. Sorcerers
7. Idolaters
8. All liars

Some of you may be tempted to argue with this list, and I so I'm looking to see if there's a place in the Bible where it says anybody who argues with this list is also going to Hell.
Closing all loopholes, if you get my drift...

Don't you draw the Queen of Diamonds boy, she'll beat you if she's able.
You know the Queen of Hearts is always your best bet.
Now it seems to me some fine things have been laid upon your table,
But you only want the ones you can't get.

I dont think its irak because irak doesnt have the business and money powers that Babylon is supposed to have according to revelation. And everyone knows washington is the most powerful city in the world, NY is the pinnacle of greed. Why wouldnt USA be Babylon? and its not ancient rome because ancient rome did not influence the economy of the entire world like the US does(if we are considering revelation as a prophecy)

John 14
The Way, the Truth, and the Life
1 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

1 Nephi 2:6-9
And it came to pass that when he had traveled three days in the wilderness, he pitched his tent in a valley by the side of a river of water.
And it came to pass that he built an altar of stones, and made an coffering unto the Lord, and gave dthanks unto the Lord our God.
And it came to pass that he called the name of the river, Laman, and it emptied into the Red Sea; and the valley was in the borders near the mouth thereof.
And when my father saw that the waters of the river emptied into the fountain of the Red Sea, he spake unto Laman, saying: O that thou mightest be like unto this river, continually running into the fountain of all righteousness!

The geography of Saudi Arabia shows no rivers running into the Res Sea. In fact no rivers at all in whole country. Saudi Arabia has been in this condition for at least the last 5,000 years.. Doesn't this prove, that the Book of Mormon is an invention of Joseph Smith's mind and not that of an all knowing God? IHS Jim

Perform these procedures? It just does not make any sense!
How do can you justify this?

FYI:- I have never had one, but ultimately who are we to preach to a rape victim, a woman who may die if she proceedes with the pregnacy or any woman who chooses to do so for that matter?
Potential and future generations of abused children would not have to go through their disfunctional childhoods if only some of the abusive mothers would be able to abort them.

What about a woman who knows that that she can not provide for this child? Adoption you say.
Who are you to make a woman suffer through a pregnancy to then give up her baby upon it's birth?

Sometimes it takes more courage and love to terminate these pregnancies than you give the women credit for.

I almost forgot to mention the millions of pregnant African Mothers who the Church preached to about the sins of using contraception and forbade the use.
Most of these children since produced, are dying this very minute of Aids

I’ve been helping a neighbor build a stone walkway through his garden and we really could use all the extra stones you can spare.

With many people in Yahoo Religion casting stones I’m sure some of you must have a large stockpile to chose from. So can you perhaps spare a few? Large or small, all you can spare are welcome. Don't worry about hitting me. I may be old but I'm fairly agile.

Thank you. And God Bless.

If Jesus is fully human and fully god how can he not be 2 people?

And how can Jesus, the holy sprite and God not be 3 people.

Does that mean a full human is only 1/6 of a person?

I'm just getting confused by your logic.

That way you would know you were getting into heaven for sure, since you would be one of God's chosen people. But for Christians, you'll never know for sure until the very moment of judgment whether or not you truly repented fully enough in your heart.

What was the sermon about?

Ours was about living like a "real christian." Setting a good example and spreading the word of God.

The RCC kept the Bible from the common man. So, in 1611, King James authorized its release. Based on the technology and printing methods back then, how long did it take to get into our hands? Please include links if you have any. I am doing some research. Thanks! - TD

How many times have you been amazed by the scope of detail in the New Testament? The more I read it and study it, the more I find.
For example, Jesus' mother being at the foot of the cross when Jesus was crucified. Seems like such a small thing, but it's not. It's obvious that she recognized her own son!
And what about where it talks about Jesus' grave wrappings(how they were folded, et cetera)?
And when Jesus was arrested, and one of the men following Him was so afraid that he let the soldiers take his garment and ran off naked?
Can you name other examples?
And please, I'd appreciate it if only Christians answered this, unless you have something productive to add.

No, I am not trying to irk anyone here, but seriously. Look at throughout history, out of the 3 big religions ( Christians, Jews, Muslims), it is the Jews who have never tried to wipe out another people or religion, nor have the Jews waged "religious wars". Remember the Crusades? Muslims and Christians killed each other, and the Jews, whose own land was being fought over, remained peaceful and did nothing. Then Christian knights slaughtered over 150,000 Jews either on the way to Jerusalem, in Jerusalem, or on the way from Jerusalem. Then the Muslims also killed Jews and Christians when they re-took the City, believing the Jews to have sided with the Crusaders ( Jews did not side with either faction). Then we have the Arab religious wars, the Mamelukes, Seljuks, Ottomans, and all those Muslim regimes that slaughtered Jews and Christians on a huge scale to "purify the world for Islam". England turned out its Jews in 1290, France 100 years later, then Spain. Pogroms all over Europe.
