Huh? Tough? You mean taught?
No, I don't think Religion should be taught in School, because you only hear what the Teachers are teaching. Also, which Religion would be appropriate? Christian, Muslim, Buddhism, etc.?? The U.S.A. is to Multi-Cultured to agree on which one of the Religions/Teachings could be taught.

I am a Christian and I say NO.. Public schools have enough trouble teaching kids to be literate.. Religion is something that should be taught by the family. I think it is better for government and religion if they leave each other alone...Render on to Caesar what is Caesar's, render onto God what is God's.

I'm not sure I understand your question. I don't think religion has ANY place in government-funded public school (unless it is taught as comparative religious studies in the upper grades and then only as an elective).

Actually, I wouldn't want my child to be taught religion in public schools. I don't think the teachers would be qualified to rightly divide the Word of God.

Religious doctrine should not be taught in schools.

However, the school you went to clearly didn't teach spelling either.

Religion ought not be in public schools at all.
Morals and good manners should.
Respect should be there.
Religion, however, should not.
