My sister (NOT Avatard, but one of my other sisters) is 36 and has twin granddaughters who are almost 2 years old already. Now, I love my sister and my niece very dearly, but that's screwed up.
Oops! I forgot to say that these babies are perfect, gorgeous angels! I just wish, for their mother's sake, that they could have come along a little later.

Well pregnant at 15-16, add 16 = grandparent at 35.
So yes there are more younger grandparents todaythen ever before.
Even being "old fashioned" and starting at 18 +18 = 36 yr old grandparent.
Also men and women marry into families, and are grandparents by marriage.

My sister became a grandmother at the ripe old age of 32. Now 45, she stands an excellent chance of being a great-grandmother somewhere around the age of 50.
Although she started her family at an extremely young age, she did marry the man responsible, and has been highly successful in her career with the Easter Seal Society. She has spent her life teaching necessary skills to mentally and physically challenged adults, and this has carried over into her children.
Her oldest daughter teaches sign language at a school in Baltimore, and this makes her mother very proud. She feels validated, that the life she led has turned out alright.
My sister's is one of the few success stories to come out of very early parenthood.
On the other hand, my two oldest refuse to have children. My youngest is 12, so I'm going to be hitting 50 before I ever set my eyes on a grandchild. I'd love to have them now while I can enjoy them.

I became a grandfather at the ripe old age of 33years 4 days. My grandaughter is now 18 months.
My wife and I met at 18 ad she had a 2 year old daughter at the time. I have since adopted her and raised her since. She got pregant at 16 and it has since been up to the grandparents to raise the child as neither of the parents have stood up to be one.

Yep, my mother of 7 became a grandparent at 36, now she has 10 grandchildren and 2 on the way, and soon become a great grandmother with 2 on the way. My Mother was 23 when she had her first Child. All seven of us have the same father. But my mother didnt marry him. She raised us alone. All of my brothers and sisters were married before they had children.
My father has 21 children all together
My father just died recently, All his life he didnt believe in GOd, but a few hours before his death, he accepted GOd into his life. And Im so thankful for that.
I didnt mourn because he died, but I rejoiced because he accepted God into his life.

Honey, if you had as much plastic as some Grands have in them today, you could float....I think it is disgraceful to try and pretend you are 30 when you are 50....kids need Grandmothers to bake cookies for them and Grandfathers to take them fishing and they need them to look the part...we are cheating our kids, by this culture of youth...we are teaching them, that looking "hot" is all that matters...I had a dear Grandmother, who died way too young. She had gray hair, was a little round,,,just right,,,wore a white apron and always seem to have flour on her dress...I would not trade that image for all the plastic Grandmothers in the world...
I am growing old, gracefully,,,i have earned every gray hair and every wrinkle.....this is what old age looks like,,,if it bothers you,,,look away in horror...I could care less..

I guess. I have noticed that too! Just goes to show the immoral culture we all live in. It is very common to see 13 year old girls who are pregnant, not married.
