I also asked a question, "How do we know that jesus or GOD isnt black", and all the religious people started giving me weird looks.

Bible scholars and jesus lovers, I would like down to earth today ways, examples, not just verses thrown at me, I can do that thru a Bible reference system and I do, but I like to hear from others what they really do, what daily actions you take as steps in reality ( I know we pray for it first ) then what exactly do you do, what decision do you make in your head each day, what habits do you establish, because sin is always beating at our doors all the way around our house !!!! and I mean gossiping and slandering and judging, those kinds of sin.

Would you consider a short prayer...just in case? i.e. Odin, if you exist...(your prayer here).

why is it that non christians get asked pascals wager constantly, but christians won't entertain the thought of that same wager when it pertains to other religions?

God speaks your mother tongue, and you hang on every word
OK, this was an offshoot from my daily reading and I want to know exactly what it means in today's world, 2007, how do we "hang on every word". I know it means be in the word, but in listening and praying and being alive, how do you "hang on God's every word" when we are so biraged by the world ? I hope you see and if you don't I will check back and you can email me. I really want to grow in this area.

John 20:27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.”

Many people see their loved ones doing things around the house just like they did before their body died. Some talk with their loved ones after death. We know we are surrounded by spirits and angels all of the time. How is this possible if a person's soul goes immediately to Heaven after they die?

Luke 23:42 The thief on a cross said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” 43 And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”Even on the Cross, Jesus says, "Father, into thy hands I commit my Spirit".

Is there any other mention in God's Word, after Jesus died for our sins and arose from dead, of people seeing their loved ones after their body has died but they have not yet gone to Heaven?

I grew up in a very superstitious household. My parents and aunts, although very religious, would become upset if someone inadvertantly passed the broom over thier feet. They did things like leaving food out for the "haints" and would prepare cabbage and black eyed peas and nail a leaf of cabbage above the door on new years day. All of this was to either to bring good luck or prevent bad luck. Do you believe any of these superstions? Do you not believe them per se but practice them anyway the way some of my relatives do? Their reasoning is "Just in case, it's true I don't want to tempt fate" Do you have other superstitions that you hold to? Why?

If a Christian woman is raped or abused by a man who looks like Jesus, what will she do? Change Religions? Or will she stay in church and continue to worship Him? Or will she try to find another religion of a God that doesn't look like Jesus?

When the majority of business men are mean people who exlpoit anything they can get there hands on. I had to ask this because I was personally insulted by the yahoo ad about the "business god" what a pedestal to put someone on. I have also experienced the world of business first hand, I had to get out of it as I never realised how shady you have to be. Another thing, why are people who cheat benefits considered criminals when business people who dodge taxes creatively called "gods"?

This is great congratulations to every muslim in every point around the world and I ask Allaah for many happy returns for this ummah ... Ameen

Alhamdulillah .. And with Allaah's bounty we reached Ramadan and we also have left this holy month 2 days ago ...
And every muslim should ask himself (what's next??)

I'd like to say that if a Muslim continues to have the patience to do righteous deeds after Ramadaan, this is a sign that his (fasting) has been accepted by his Lord, the Most Generous, the Bestower of blessings. If he fails to do righteous deeds after Ramadaan, and follows the ways of the Shaytaan, this is a sign of humiliation, meanness, lowly status and being deprived of the help of Allaah.

So I'd like every muslim to share and answer this question
Did you TRULY give Ramadan its rights and try as hard as you caould to seize every single second???

This was the only place I could think of to put this.

Do you think he may of had a psychic twinkle cause he did the song Radio Ga Ga.
It seemed to me he was picking up a future event cause it is true all you do hear is Radio Ga Ga when you put the Radio on never any good music.

I recall hearing, many years ago, that a person could not be declared insane - no matter how obviously loopy they were - if their delusions were religious in nature.

Though I expect that this was a piece of anti-religious propaganda (yes, we do it too), and I've not heard it repeated since, I wondered if anyone could shed light on the origin of this rumour. Was there a specific incident where a nutter got off by pleading religiosity? Is there an ancient law that approximates this rule?

Serious question. Serious data appreciated.

To me this verse is one of the most important verse and muslims should be reminded that they will be judged for their interpretation of the Qu'ran:

[3.7] He it is Who has revealed the Book to you; some of its verses are decisive, they are the basis of the Book, and others are allegorical; then as for those in whose hearts there is perversity they follow the part of it which is allegorical, seeking to mislead and seeking to give it (their own) interpretation. but none knows its interpretation except Allah, and those who are firmly rooted in knowledge say: We believe in it, it is all from our Lord; and none do mind except those having understanding.

God is testing you in the Qur'an itself so everytime somebody comes to you with one of these "allegorical" verses that apparently justify killing or beating try to exercise logic and see if there is a clearer verse on the matter somewhere else.
