The Old and New Testaments, being the completed canon of 66 books, are God's revelation given through men and directed by the Holy Spirit. These Scriptures as originally given are verbally and fully inspired by the Holy Spirit and stand free from error in any and all parts. They are the final and supreme authority.

This means that the Bible has only one author, Jehovah God. He used men to write the information down, much as a businessman uses a secretary to write a letter. The secretary writes the letter, but the letter contains the thoughts and ideas of the businessman. So it is his letter, not the secretary’s, even as the Bible is God’s Book, not the book of the men who were used to write it.
Since God created the mind, he surely did not find it hard to get in touch with the minds of his servants to provide them with the information to write. Even today a person can sit in his home and receive messages from a faraway place by means of a radio or a television set. The voices or pictures travel over long distances by the use of physical laws that God created. It is, therefore, easy to understand that Jehovah, from his place far away in the heavens, could direct men to write down the information that he wanted the human family to know.

Over the course of about 1500 years the different books of the Christian bible were written, translated, edited, and reedited.
Because of all the infighting of the different sects of Christianity in it's infancy, it was the demand and decree of the Emperor Constantine that all the sects sit down and hammer out a single doctrine, which was codified in the first uniform Christian doctrine, called the Nicene Creed.
Pope Damasus I assembled the first list of books of the bible at the Council of Rome in 382 AD, so there was no "real" Christian bible for over 300 years.

In my opinion.
A group of psychologists got together to create a set of laws and principals to be ad-eared to, and wrote the bible in such a way as to get right into peoples minds so they would police themselves through the fear of the unknown.
The storys in it are so unbelievable it amazes me that people now dont realize that these things could and never would happen.
I understand those living in an uneducated time - and who probably never went more than a mile from their village beleiving it.
The times when you could run through a village shouting "The Dragons coming" and they would all scatter not knowing any better........ But, come off it, not now-days.
Just cos someone told you it was true..... it doesnt mean it is.
If I told you I had a Direct line to God and he was telling me how to answer this question, you wouldnt beleive me, youd think I was a schizophrenic !

It was put together in an order that provided an end to satisfy the church. It was not put together in Chronological order. The church decided what they wanted the message to be and arranged the books accordingly excluding those that did not fit their agenda.
