what are good ways to train our hearts to be obedient to God ?

Bible scholars and jesus lovers, I would like down to earth today ways, examples, not just verses thrown at me, I can do that thru a Bible reference system and I do, but I like to hear from others what they really do, what daily actions you take as steps in reality ( I know we pray for it first ) then what exactly do you do, what decision do you make in your head each day, what habits do you establish, because sin is always beating at our doors all the way around our house !!!! and I mean gossiping and slandering and judging, those kinds of sin.

To be obedient to what God says to you would mean that you have a intimate relationship with him or you wouldn't be able to hear him in the first place. You cannot "train" your heart to do anything. Either it is in you or it is not. If it is not then prayer and seeking God's face with allow the Holy Spirit to move you and change your heart. If it is in you then it is a matter of choice not training. Yes and Amen is what we all should be striving for. We are to not only grow daily but also we are to die daily to self "the flesh" in doing so we are open to having the obedient heart that you seek.

By asking for the assistance of a more spiritual mature
brother or sister.

Don't let gossip bother you. It didn't bother Jesus... People said that he was a wine drinker friend of prostitutes and tax collectors. We know that he enjoyed having his feet extensively kissed by a prostitute... So do good and don't hurt anybody... that's full obedience to God. Watch for the Clergy, though. They need to make you feel guilty so they can put the bread on their table on you!

I train myself by asking my heart to accept god as is;
and not in accordance to what people create in different religions and say that their god is the true god.

Because the god created by man/woman is not the real god. - as much as I think that you are a red neck Asian living in Japan and following paganism and your language is Kongani; because someone created such an image of you to me.

That is not you I know, similarly I do not want to be mislead by the spoken or written words/ languages of man about the god created by man.

I treat other people as I want to be treated. That works well.
If I would not want it done to me, I don't do it to others.
I say only good things to and abut people. I try to life them up.
I'm a teacher. When I need to correct my students, I first tell them something that they have done RIGHT. Then I make suggestions for improvement or try to help them with what they don't understand.
