There are many bits of things that you may easily read over. For instance it says Peter was on the roof of a gentile's house one day. By tradition Jews had to stay a certain distance from the houses of gentiles, but here was Peter on top of the house with the guy.
In another, around midnight Paul was giving a sermon and a guy fell asleep and fell out of the window.
Tons of interesting/funny stuff mixed in with the scriptures.
Jesus saying, "Do you believe in the Son of Man?" to which someone replies, "Tell me about him so that I may believe in him"
Jesus replies, "You have now seen him..... In fact, he is the one speaking with you"
Funny stuff. I could just picture Jesus with a sly smile on his lips as he said that.

Each book of the Bible is like a paper road-map of a U.S. state. If you look on the cover of a map of California, for example, you may see the shape of the state and the location of a few cities. But if you unfold and examine it closely you can see all sorts of new things. Then put all the road maps together and you will find that they fit like pieces of a puzzle.
One example from I Samuel 17:40, when David took five stones to fight Goliath. Why five? If you turn to II Samuel 21:22 you will find that Goliath was not the only giant in the land.
In the New Testament one thing that I admired about Jesus is that he answered questions, even the tricky ones. When I was a boy in the Mormon church, I had many questions. However, the folks there don't like a lot of questions, just blind faith. Consequently, I am now a Christian.

I agree with higgie- we learn something new each time as the Holy Spirit opens our eyes to the truth of God's word. So many things apply to our daily lives as well! I know there are a lot of things in the Bible that have amazed me, and I remember thinking "awww" or "wow" ---for instance: when John the Baptist leaped inside Elizabeths belly when Mary came to greet her ( and Jesus was inside Mary's womb) Showed the LOVE John the Baptist already had for His Savior! And Jesus and John were very close friends as well.
When the thief on the cross immediately believed when Jesus hung there next to Him. Showed the power of the Holy Spirit moving! Everyone else was beating Jesus, and the thief next to Him just "believed" like that! So that definately stood out.
Ummm man there is SO much more....Oh there is that verse that speaks about how we should all be giving praise to God, because if we don't the rocks will cry out-- That always amazed me, and just really made me think about how God's creation is also HIS! That if we, people with hearts, and brains, cannot worship and praise God, then the rocks, which have no breath in them would cry out! Because GOD DESERVES praise! Really makes me WANT to praise Him! Makes me realize just how much God is worthy to be praised, ya know?
I'll have to think of many more, I LOVE this question by the way!

Very well put, there are more examples than I can enumerate. As for the answer of Fatima, if there had been an insult, she might be due an apology, but since this is a question regarding the Bible, she is due nothing but contempt for trying to stir up trouble. Muslims do not use the Bible, they do not believe that Jesus is the son of God, only a teacher. And although Jews, Christians, and Muslims all believe in the same God, They all use different versions of the word of God. This question was not about that God, but about the Son Of God, and the Bible that neither of those groups use. My answer to Fatima: Quit trying to start trouble. You will get no apology from me either.

there is something else in the new testament that keeps being revealed even into this day, and that is the wisdom with which Jesus answers critics, "should we pay taxes, "this woman was taken in adultery, "by who's authority do you do this (driving out the money changers.
then in the book of acts, there is more information on ancient shipping in this book than in all the extant manuscripts available to scholars worldwide.
Pontius Pilot was not believed to be a historic person until about 1962 I think it was when the italian archeologist dug up a rock inscription about him.
People ask why we believe in the Bible. It is more we trust God, and the bible is just proving it is his revelation. Look up to the stars and see more of his work, look in the book to meet the LORD who made it
as for Fatima, the God of Abraham was not Lah. His father did worship Lah, and Abram was called out from the pagan worship of the moon, (there were 365 dieties worshipped back then, one for each day) and Mohammed tried to restore what he thought was best, and went back to the ancient pagan dieties and chose Lah (al lah, the god opposed to the other 364 god available)
a side note, ab means father arabic, abba, we cry father, similar roots and I don't fault anyone who has yet to learn the truth.

You mean like Mary sitting at the feet of Jesus when he came to visit her and Martha?
The Bible isn't meant to be read, but meditated on. What you read in 5 minutes can be meditated on over literally days and then God reveals the importance of the little details.
The folded grave clothes implied according to Jewish custom that Jesus was leaving in peace. He knew he was just visiting the grave, so when he arose, he folded the clothes suggesting he had time and was not in a hurry to leave as if he was afraid of being in the grave, for he had just conquered it.
for a Jew back then, when you sleep in someone Else's house, in the morning you fold the sheets and put them at the head of the bed, suggesting you are leaving in peace.

I appreciated the Old Testament more after studying how well the New Testament tied into prophecy. There are so many little details that I find amazing. Like in the seven feasts of Israel. and Psalm 22:16
For dogs have surrounded Me;
The congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me. They pierced My hands and My feet;

Don't forget the Old Testament. Our God is into extreme detail. Here's the best part ...
As time marches on, archaeological digs throughout the Middle East are proving over and over again that what's in the bible is true and accurate. Kinda makes you wonder why folks still don't believe in it. Hope they get it soon. Time's running out!

Well the historical detail in the Book of Acts is amazing. Further, it has been accurate on things that were believed to be false until fairly recently thereby verifying itself.
edit -- in John 4 where it says that the woman came out to draw water about noon (this tells us she was not welcome to be with the other women).
When Jesus asked her for a drink he cast aside gender bias, social bias, racial bias, religious bias to redeem the life of this woman of ill-repute.
