Let's say you did and got a chance to speak to god then he tells you that all religion is in fact man made and they are not his teachings you had it all wrong from the begining. Would you still believe in your religion then? hmmm would you?

How much of your understanding of the world is filtered through a Christian worldview? If you get most of your information from Christian sources, do you think you have a balanced, realistic understanding of world events?

Anyone who has seen the proof of evolution knows it has never happened. If it has, where is even ONE transitional form? Not one exists, but Darwin said if evolution was true there would be countless ones. You have been deceived, just believe your Bibles. Remember what it says, "Let God Be True and Every Man/Woman A Liar." - for everyone who disputes God's truth.

Do you realize that if there were any REAL evidence, it would not be called a "Theory." True faith is believing God above anything else, even if you're about to die. Stephen did (Book of Acts) and died with Great honor. So did the Apostles, and our Lord, who was executed on our behalf. This is a plea to real Christians to throw away fables and lies and really believe the truth.

and how was it involved in people's lives?

2007-10-13 11:27:36 · 11 answers · asked by Anonymous

Why doesn't God treat "offenders" (people who don't obey his commandments, laws or will) the same way we treat criminals?

If you kill someone, he limits your will (kind of like putting you in "spiritual leash"). If you rape or torture someone, he limits your will. If you lie too many times, he limits your will.

I know that he wants you to live your life, make your own decisions, save or condemn yourself accordingly, but if your sinful actions effect others, and possibly even endanger their chances of being saved, why wouldn't God choose the lesser of two evils, limiting you so that many others might be spared the harm you would cause?

And remember, he's God, so he could find a way to do it perfectly, right?

How can I do that? My mom is Catholic, but I want to go to a church that is more involved. I want to have more faith and become more religious. And also can I convince another person, for example my husband to do so also?

Quran 2:106 “ None of Our revelations do We abrogate (annul, change) or cause to be forgotten, BUT We substitute something better or similar: Knowest thou not that Allah Hath power over all things?” http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/002.qmt.html

Ok, so nothing in the Quran is changed except for something "similar" or "better". If the Quran allows itself to be changed for something better, how could it be from God?

God is perfect, and thus writes no imperfection. Its impossible to improve perfection, therefore, unless the Quran were written by men, there could never be any allowance for changing its written word.

Again, the Quran says that we can "substitute" the speech in the Quran for "something better". How can you better God? Its obvious whoever wrote this part of the Quran, was hedging and trying to make room to cure mistakes that he might have missed with his intial copies.

Why does the Catholic church refuse to accept birth control?
Why do we continue to destroy rainforests to raise cattle when the grain it takes to produce one beef burger could feed 40 people?
How can we as a species ever create a world that works for everyone?

Because they are superstitious (Islamic jihad terrorists). They believe that they will get heaven for dieing in Jihad. They also believe that they won't go to heaven if someone pours pig fat on them even after they died for the cause of Allah.

It was done before when someone found out about this superstition & it worked. There were less attacks.

I read this for the 1st time in
http://www.lyitl.org/koran/index.html

Of course this would work only for Islamic Jihad terrorist, not other types.

Someone said this to me

"If your book makes around three hundred predictions about something thats going to happen hundreds of years from now and they all come true, as they did with the Bible, maybe then people will take you seriously."

Which, of the "300 predictions" have come true?

As a Christian, I don't force my beliefs on anyone....I will tell you what I believe, because I am told to by the Bible, but it is up to you whether you believe what I believe (God gave men free choice). I wanted to state that before I got into this discussion:

I have seen a lot of people on here talking about how there isn't one right way, or that they don't believe that God would make just one way to heaven. Why do you believe this? If there are any science-minded people on here, you know that there is only one scientific explanation for the things on earth (physics, chemistry, biology-all based on what we believe to be one explanation for things...gravity....atoms, protons, neutrons, electrons etc.) there aren't two explanations that are accepted for why things fall to earth. In the same way, I don't see how someone can think that there are multiple ways especially when these ways contradict each other. I'm not trying to offend anyone, I'd just like to know what you think..

Okay, so you say I don't believe the right doctrine and everything (baptist), so why don't you tell me why I should believe what you do? Give me some reasons. What DO you believe? And how come it is it seems the only religions really trying to convince others to get saved are the baptists and protestant? Don't you care about people's destination and if they are going to Hell or not? What is your 'plan of Salvation' or do even have one? When was the Catholic church started and who founded it? Why did he found it?

Please answer as many of these questions as possible. Thanx.
