As a Christian, I don't force my beliefs on anyone....I will tell you what I believe, because I am told to by the Bible, but it is up to you whether you believe what I believe (God gave men free choice). I wanted to state that before I got into this discussion:

I have seen a lot of people on here talking about how there isn't one right way, or that they don't believe that God would make just one way to heaven. Why do you believe this? If there are any science-minded people on here, you know that there is only one scientific explanation for the things on earth (physics, chemistry, biology-all based on what we believe to be one explanation for things...gravity....atoms, protons, neutrons, electrons etc.) there aren't two explanations that are accepted for why things fall to earth. In the same way, I don't see how someone can think that there are multiple ways especially when these ways contradict each other. I'm not trying to offend anyone, I'd just like to know what you think..

just to clarify, by moral relativism, I mean that "what's right for you isn't necesarrily what's right for me"...i.e. there isn't one way

I see moral relativism practiced more by believers than non-believers. Not just in the news, either.

If you have a set of ethics and morals where you accept responsibility, you're more likely to follow them than someone referring to an old book or power hungry preacher (keep your wife close).

Terry Hornbuckle is but one.

The answer to your question is quite simple in light of John 14:6 - "JESUS saith unto him, I (Jesus) am the way, the truth, and the the life: NO MAN cometh to the Father, but by me." Our Heavenly Father sent HIS son to die upon a cruel cross, to shed His precious blood for me. So great a sacrifice has every right to demand a specific road to salvation. If there is any other way than through the blood of Jesus Christ, than His death was in vain. Our God is very exclusive in His demands - but very inclusive with the offer of eternal life. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER (ooooowweeee - makes me wanna shout) believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." We have a choice. Believe or not believe. In John 3:18 "He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the the only begotten Son of God." There is only ONE way to heaven. I Timothy 2:5 "For there is one God, and one MEDIATOR between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." Enough from me - By the way I'm new here and look forward to sharing my struggles.

Moral relativists rely on feelings and not logic. Once we reject God, then there is no moral authority higher than our feelings. But feelings aren't well connected to reality.

So when moral relativists say some behavior is moral or immoral, what they are really referring to is the amount of some feel-good/feel-bad chemicals in their brains.

I would agree with you. That is why I think they are all wrong.

You started you question with moral relativism. The body of the question has nothing to do with that.

I respect people more who actually take a moral stand on issues then people who just waver in the wind...

Have you noticed too that children seem to respect parents more who have a clear idea of whats right and wrong then parents who are always whooshy washy about everything
