Because they are superstitious (Islamic jihad terrorists). They believe that they will get heaven for dieing in Jihad. They also believe that they won't go to heaven if someone pours pig fat on them even after they died for the cause of Allah.
It was done before when someone found out about this superstition & it worked. There were less attacks.
I read this for the 1st time in
http://www.lyitl.org/koran/index.html
Of course this would work only for Islamic Jihad terrorist, not other types.

LJay, This is the 1st time I asked this question. The othertimes had mispellings & it messed the question. And it isn't to desicrate the dead. The purpose of doing this is so the would be terrorists would understand that he would have pig fat put on him after he died for Allah & so wouldn't go to heaven anyway. So? He would rather not die for Allah then. Because he would go to hell anyway.

This is precisely why some time ago Israeli authorities placed barrels with pig lard on public transportation. To deter bomb attacks.

You misread the article. The article claims that British soldiers dipped bullets in pig fat and that Muslims stopped fighting them. It doesn't say that anybody has ever poured pig fat on terrorists to get them to stop.
The article also gives no sources to verify its rather vague claims. Without any such potential for verification, it seems like the claims are likely either a fabrication or a misinterpretation. That's usually the reason people make claims without citing supporting resources.

During India's first war of Independence, Russian spies spread the rumour that the British had introduced cartridges to the British Indian Soldiers (Hindus and Muslims) that were greased with Pork and Beef fat. This enraged the Hindus and Muslims to such an extent that they mutinied and then revolted. This resulted in the death of thousands of British officers and their families.

You have an odd fetish. Want to try that out with Canola oil on your lover first?
I read the same myth about Pershing in the Phillipines fighting the Moros. I guess it's like the 200mpg carburetor myth, it just won't go away.

Are you obsessed with pigs blood. This is the third time you have asked this.
I do not see how it would be constructive to inflame people with the act of defilement. This would be a constructive as blowing up mosques. See the similarity?

Nooo. We cant use their religion against them, that would be politically incorrect.
The larger point here is, we could very easily use the same religious supersiton that compels them to murder for allah, against them, but again, we dont have the backbone for it.

In light of what Jack said and without being able to check your link, I would say as strange as it may sound, your idea might have some merit.

"there were less attacks" how do you know this was not due to other things such as lack of desire, funding, greater security etc?I think people that are willing to die for their stupid religion are not going to be put off by this sort of action.

So this would be like making Christians commit suicide or some other sin so they can not go to heaven?

It would probably increase attacks because it would anger the terrorist community. Not to mention it is a cruel and degrading thing to do.
