Well obviously what I believed would be true if God was there.

If I spoke to God, that would mean there IS religion. How can God speak to me and say, "Hey, there is no Me." That's rediculous! Religion is NOT man-made!!! Religion stems from the existence of God. No God, no religion.

To say that God tells me that all religions are "not His teachings" is also contradictory. If God says, "Hey, these are not my teachings," that implies that there ARE "correct" teachings, which, again, means there IS religion... which is what God's teachings are!

We had it all wrong from the beginning? Again... that means there is something that is "correct"... and that "correct" teaching... yadda, yadda, yadda!

Sorry, bub... you lost your argument as SOON as you said, "got a chance to speak with god."

Have a blessed day.

What is more important than religion is Spirituality AKA your own personal relationship with God! You need to look up the difference between Religion and Spirituality. You can go to a dictionary website if you do not have a dictionary. I hope I could help you in your spiritual walk. If you live in Raleigh NC., Come check out Hope Community Church for more info go to www.gethope.org A quote I heard is " Religion is for people who are afraid of going to hell. Spirituality is for people who have already been thru hell and back.

what if you died and you found out there WAS a religion?
Would you then say: "Gosh I wished I believed, because now I'm banned to hell for all eternity"? Hmmmm, would you?
If there were no religion I would not lose anything for having believed all this time. But if there WAS a religion, and I did not believe, there would be a lot of pain and suffering in hell for a lot of people who refuse to believe.

Yes...no...I don't know, leave me alone! Waaah!!!

Sorry, your question confuses me. So there's a God, in this situation you've proposed, but he's been entirely silent throughout history, and now he's going to bother to tell me after the fact that every one of us who believed anything in particular, or worshipped in any particular way, were ALL wrong. Seems kind of pointless, but...

If such a thing were to happen, then I suppose, face to face with God Almighty Himself, I'd have to accept what He said. But I would probably have to wonder out loud why He never spoke before, even if only to answer all the apparent "busybodies" who had presumed to speak for Him throughout history.

I already know there is no real religion. Just one relationship with Jesus. With that one relationship, other relationships can be built on a solid foundation and my future (eternal future) is secure. Religion is man made. Jesus was not.

Let's see. If God is there, I am in Heaven. That would make religion real.

Hmmmmm, get it?

Yeah good point, cause it wouldn't be the god all those fervent folks had been praying to.

So maybe there is a god, but he doesn't like religion and human self-righteousness.

Religions are the traditions of man and not of God.
You are correct, God will say those things.

God may well say this to me when I die.

I believe God has a sense of humour though, so I expect him to add after an awkard silence, "Nah, just kidding!"

Religion IS man made!

God never called anyone to a "RELIGION"....He calls people to take Him at His WORD and to believe what He has said about securing our place in heaven thru the performance of Jesus Christ on the Cross on our behalf.

We can KNOW that we are on the right track by simply believing what God has said. That is true biblical FAITH, and "without faith, it is impossible to please God."
