I mean, we historians who know that Jesus did not exist in history have scoured and researched all the Christian sources and stupid sources, like TEKTONICS as well.

We know about Josh MacDowell, C.S. Lewis' Mere Christianity, Ravi Zacharias, Answersingenesis, etc, etc...

But whenever I demonstrate to Christians how Jesus never existed, they continually resort to these same sources, which I must show to them constantly how those Christian sources are short-sighted, or just plain wrong!

I mean, some of these Christian sources actually KNOW-BETTER! How can Christians so easily rationalize lying and manipulation?

Why are so many people obcesed with the "End times"? it's almost like they want disaster. This has been going on since the dawn of time so there must be something innate in humans that causes this desire.

Prior to your leaving the group, did you at some point have a subjective mystical experience to "confirm" the validity of the cult in your eyes?

How do you view such an experience, now that you are no longer part of the group?

If you are now a Bible - believing Christian, how would you evaluate any such experience in the light of Scripture?

Thanks in advance for all sincere, polite replies.

Blessings.

If Jesus was the son of God, and he died for our sins, doesn't it mean that we're not responsible for our own actions? Doesn't it mean that we can sin as much as we want and not get into trouble for it?
If Jesus died for our sins, then why did God put us on this Earth, considering that nothing we do is taken into account. What was the point of creating heaven and hell if it doesn't matter what we do?

yes it is true, carbon dating is only a reliable means of dating for a few dozen millenia. so, why do you suppose so many scientists, many of whom have never met each other before, can come to the same conclusion on the age of the earth, as well as how long ago dinosaurs walked the earth? do you suppose maybe they have other means of determining the age of artifacts? or do you suppose it's natural for people, once they hit the limits of carbon dating, to assume that the earth is roughly 4 billion years old and dinosaurs lived about 100 million years ago?

Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing. - Acts 9:8a

There is a place of obedience for all of us. For Paul, it was being struck blind on the Damascus road. God literally knocked him to the ground with a blinding light. A voice from Heaven asked Paul why he was persecuting Him (Jesus). When Paul arose, he could not see. Jesus told him to go to Damascus and meet a man named Ananias. There, Jesus restored Paul's sight through Ananias.

We've all heard the saying, "The bigger they are, the harder they fall." In many cases this is true. God has called many hard cases into His Kingdom through miraculous circumstances in order to save their lives from the pit of hell and transform them into a sweet-smelling fragrance. Do not let the hard exterior fool you. These are needy people who are crying out for help in their own prideful way.

Where marty plays "Johnny B Good" at the dance? Does it ever strike you as odd that the band at the dance is all black guys but its supposed to be the 1950s...I'm pretty sure black musicians playing at a high school event would have caused an uproar at that time. It would probably have been more accurate had they made it white musicians playing black music.

But then they couldn't have made that joke about chuck berry's cousin being in the band and calling him up.

Do you believe in God?

Everyone dodges the question and the issues behind this. You have no answers?

Deu 18:20 But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.'
Deu 18:21 And if you say in your heart, 'How may we know the word that the LORD has not spoken?'--
Deu 18:22 when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You need not be afraid of him.

Many people say I should talk to the DA. My parents did some bad things and there are no statue of limitaions on 2 of them. They dont have any more kids and dont do too much to me anymore. Why you should I still turn them in? The things they did were pretty bad but not sexual abuse. There were some things just as bad and equal to it. Time has not run out on what they have done and the police will do something even if it just getting them help by force.

If our prophets are your prophets, then you must have read the bible, otherwsie you would have no other way of working out what the prohets said

Therfore the bible is either true or false in your eyes.

If true then our prophets are your prophets.
If false then you have no way of validating your words, so logically they may not be your prophets.

If they are your prophets then the book of their words and works is the bible, which was complete some 600 years before islam showed up as a major relgieon.

Genesis describes the beginnig, and Revelations shows the desturction of the antichrist and the end of time, and everyone of God's people living with him for eternity. This vision was given to John by the angel Gabriel

So the question is, what more was there to add?

What more was there to be known.
John was shown the end of time...what more was there to be shown?

why would gabriel appear 600 years later and say..oh by the way muhammed you can stone women after jesus tould you not to

about Elohim?
It's in the original Hebrew Bible. It wasn't taken out, it was just translated as God.

Go to e-sword.net, and download the Bible (it's the KJV, with the original Hebrew and Greek). That should answer your question.
