It is more sad than degrading...and only for the women who do not have enough umph in their being to pull themselves up.

Why is it degrading? If I could be a high class who*re and pick and choose like they do, and do what I love and get paid for it...degrade me all you want baby!

Problem also, I really suck at acting...

Some background...I'm a 5ft nothing Scottish-American, don't wear religious jewelry and probably DO sound like I grew up in a Jewish neighbourhood.
I get told I am Jewish *all the time.* Like, asked what I'm doing for holidays and if I'd like the Kosher meal at work functions.
Other times, I have people tell me I'm Christian, but I think they are just playing statistical roulette.
How do you decide a person's religion without asking? I don't, but I'm wondering what the code is...

I mean how come we don't see real inoccence around us ?
Look around yourself and answer please.
And NO and YES are not answers if you want to give a 2 point answer like that go somewhere else.
Giving an answer like that can get you a violation and you will be minus 10 points instead of getting just 2 points :o) Cheers !

There was proof that jesus once lived. That was many many years ago. And about the bible that said god created the world with his voice, well just last year scientist discover that the energy in water and other minerals responds when you speak to it. Everything is made of energy right? even us humans. So instead of how you look, your just really a clump of energy put together also known as spirit. So god moves in and out through form, thats him as energy moving in and out through form right? And to top it off, the most interesting thing is that there is always an opposite of everything right? (good=evil, laugh=sad, up=down) so there is a devil which means there must be a god! right?

Sex is NOT a bad thing!
I really don't think God has a problem with guys and girls having sex if they're not married and I really don't think God has a problem with people who decide to create their own fantasy world in heaven and have sex there and I'm sure it's been done millions and billions of time up there in Heaven already.


After I die, I will still want to make out with women my type, no matter what anybody says, even when I'm in Heaven.

Are we too insecure to accept the possibility that chance and natural guiding forces (mainly natural selection) were in fact natural, and we are merely a product of that? Are our self-esteems not able to take such a blow, and we must believe we are significant?

We are smarter than the other animals, yes - though you could argue that the other animals at least know how to live at peace with the natural world. What we take for granted as "human" characteristics are found in other animals, mainly other primates. To name a few examples - the ability to communicate, use tools, the complex social groups (which we still don't understand completely), reliance on learning rather than instinct, emotions, empathy, etc.

What basis is there to believing we have a "higher" purpose, other than we want to?

Because if there's a God coming from another God then that God was not the beginning, and I'm defining God as the beginning. I mean, I don't care what Mormons believe but SEMANTICALLY how is the Mormon still God.

Christians, do you believe that after you die a spirit leaves your body and goes to heaven?

I read in the Bible that God creates new bodies in Heaven, but am not sure on your beliefs on spirits. Are there any passages about Christians having spirits (besides the holy spirit)

I've been told that as opposed to any other group (faith, non-faith, whatever) in America, they have the best legal defense team - ie: You can't really write/say too many negative statements against Scientology without being slapped with a lawsuit and being run into the ground.

If true...and Given the amount of....contention on these boards about other peoples viewpoints - how did Scientology carve out this void space of protection for itself?

Don't the atheists realize that there is a single common thread that connects all of the school shooters? There is one fact that is true of all the people who shot people at school.

They were all at school! Doesn't this prove that school is a place where children learn to do evil things?

The only solution is to take all children out of school immediately! Also, we can't put them in home school because that's still school. We need to stop teaching our kids everything.

If other people can confuse conjunction with causation so can I.
