Their sin resulted in immediate spiritual death (separation from God) for them, and physical death entering into the world at the same time. We are all destined to die a physical death (unless Jesus returns before that time). We are born with a spirit that is dead to God (separated from Him), which has been inherited from the original parents of all mankind. The only solution to this is for our spirit to be born again by way of the Holy Spirit taking up residence within us. Then, should we die a physical death before Jesus returns, we will not experience the second death (spiritual death) which comes to those who have not been born again by the Holy Spirit who is eternal.
God bless you.

I debated answering this.....
The "original" sin was Satan's rebellion against God, and the sin of Adam and Eve is the same sin.
If anything, we "inherit" a sinful nature, or rather we are born of Adam. The born again condition is where we can change our heritage and become the children of God and come out from being the children of Adam.
God indeed does not visit the sins of the fathers upon the children in regards to each being responsible for their own actions. So your connection to the child born to David is incorrect. The child was not charged with any of David's sins. The child died as a result of David's sins. There are penalties for sin. This child will be resurrected at a time where the child can live out a life that will be better than it would have been then.

Good question, the answer to it is found in the OT and in the Quran
translation of the Holy Quran:
17:15 Who receiveth guidance, receiveth it for his own benefit: who goeth astray doth so to his own loss: No bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another: nor would We visit with Our Wrath until We had sent an apostle (to give warning).
This is a fabrication only in Christianity to justify the fact that Jesus (PBUH) had to die and died for their sins... thing which you never find Jesus (PBUH) talk about in the Christian bible... it's really interesting to note that all the time Jesus (PBUH) was preaching to the people he didn’t emphasize enough on the biggest issue that Christians now believe in which is the original sin and the death of Jesus (PBUH)... it just strikes me as a little misleading... if I were a prophet and the faith and fate of my followers were to be built on this one thing you better believe I would talk about it day and night... yet you don't find anywhere in the bible Jesus (PBUH) talking about it... all you find are little passages here and there that somewhat seem to be related... and if you research this a little further you will find out that people started believing this only about 200 to 300 years after Jesus (PBUH) left the earth... and God knows best.

Well if you believe in original sin then you do not believe what the Bible teaches. The Bible teaches that children are born sinless and without fault. Jesus said himself that the kingdom of God belongs to children.
We come under the "power" of sin only when we commit our first willful sin. We do not have the knowledge of good and evil until we learn the consequences of our choices.

If it helps any, Judaism doesn't have any concept of Original Sin, and since it's a Jewish book, I'd go by the original meaning instead of this twisted nasty invention the Church thought up called Original Sin.
