I am Christian and my wife is Buddhist. She argues that following Christ means learning and practicing his teaching rather than believing in him and ignoring all his teaching. All you have to do is believe in Christ and you go to Heaven. Wow, that's an excellent deal. You don't know Christ but you are a person of good moral value, kindness and compassion and still you will go to bad place because you are not Christian ?That seems very unfair.

"As man advances in civilisation, and small tribes are united into larger communities, the simplest reason would tell each individual that he ought to extend his social instincts and sympathies to all the members of the same nation, though personally unknown to him. This point being once reached, there is only an artificial barrier to prevent his sympathies extending to the men of all nations and races."---Charles Darwin

There is one problem. If a God was doing this, wouldn't it take 7 days rather than several millions of years?

i've seen a lot of atheists getting angry over God now days and it really frightens me because if they don't like God then they should just let it be and ignore him but it seems like they are in the dark.

...did He exclude anyone from the works? The two examples of faith working given in James are Abraham the father of the faith and Rahab the Harlot. Also note that in John 4, Jesus used a samaritan "whore" to be His sower.

Additionally, if we tell someone that they are not good enough to work for God, are we telling them to break God's commandment to work?

(Isaiah 43:10-11) 10 “YOU are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “even my servant whom I have chosen, in order that YOU may know and have faith in me, and that YOU may understand that I am the same One. Before me there was no God formed, and after me there continued to be none. 11 I—I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior.”

so then as Jesus was one of those Jews who recieved that command. are you also a Witness of Jehovah?
(Revelation 1:5) . . .and from Jesus Christ, “the Faithful Witness,” “The firstborn from the dead,” and “The Ruler of the kings of the earth. . .

So to please God you would have to be one of his witnesses , right? Jehovah's Witnesses

(John 17:6) 6 “I have MADE YOUR NAME MANIFEST to the men you gave me out of the world. . .

is he all powerful? if so, he's kind of a jerk, eh? he has total control and leaves us down here with all this pain and suffering. all powerful guy telling us to believe this and don't believe that and he'll save us too. whys an all powerful deity really need anything from us? someone with the power to do anything shouldn't need to create a bunch of monkeys to 'test' their faith. after all if the student fails, who failed? the student or the teacher? if he's all powerful, than he is powerful enough to make me believe, right? so...why don't I?

if he is not all powerful....well, than he's incompetent. why should we worship a god that created such a crappy existence?

and we all have to start carrying around our Health Cards on our person whenever we leave our own homes (Did you even know that was a requirement in her previous "PLAN"?)

Is it true that in order to have a unique UPC bar code for humans, the only number not yet taken is 666?

does that make us common citizens the beast
or is it health care that already has been the beast all along?

That condemning someone else to hell because they believe differently than you is a belief rooted in fear?
2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

So why do you constantly judge and ridicule others and claim to be Christian? You belittle the Mormons (who are far more Christlike), the J-Dubs, the Catholics, and of course the atheists, who are some of the kinder more intelligent people i have met on here.

Are you too afraid to look at yourselves, so you find comfort with finding fault with others?

he gives SOME indications by these scriptues here he says
(Jeremiah 7:31) . . .And they have built the high places of To′pheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hin′nom, in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, a thing that I had not commanded and that had not come up into my heart. . .

so he hates suffering.

(Ecclesiastes 9:5) 5 For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. . .

some denominations believe that when you die,you either go to Heaven or Hell.but i was brought up to believe that when you die, youre only unconcious until God comes back.(i was raised SDA by my dad.)

even Jesus Himself said when He rose Lazarus from the dead, that they wont be "dead",theyll only be in a deep sleep.(i watched a movie about the Passover,& that was in it)

besides, whats the point of having a Second Coming if we go to one or the other as soon as we die??that doesnt make sense to me.

would also like to straighten something else out;why is it that ive always heard SDAs were another Christian denom.when just yester.ppl started telling me that the SDAs ARENT Christian but only a cult?i also researched it & found it also being claimed on google.is it BASICALLY Christian but SORTA cult because we have slightly diff.teachings than the "mainstream"?(in my q. 2the sunday worshipers & jehovahs they called it mainstream)apparently the "mainstream" sees us as only a cult.

"And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified"

I mean, I've even talked to seemingly intelligent Christians who really, really claim to have MET Jesus!!! and they talk to "him" every day, and Jesus "guides" them, etc!!!!

I show them how the Josephus account was erroneous and how Tacitus and others fail historically, and how nearly every extra-biblical account of Jesus can easily be construed as a FORGERY - basically, how it is simply foolish to claim Christianity as true, in the face of all the overwhelming evidence against it.

They tell me things like: I'm a fool for Jesus, or that they cannot listen to me because they might go to Hell!!!

Are they all just CRAZY?

No matter what you or anyone says, someone who dies a virgin is STILL gonna wanna do it even after they die and are in heaven. There are so many sexy women in this world and the guy will still want to do this even after he dies, virgin or not.

For example, what about all those kids who went straight to Vietman ot Iraq just out of high school and died in combat before they had the chance to make out with a girl?
