I definitely do...Psalms 1...do not walk in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scornful.

Since I've become a Christian I've had to let some people I've known all my life..Go. My bestfriend of 20 years was an adulterous, gossipper who would try to entice me to 'talk' to my exes even after I married. My grandma..I love her to death but I have to stay away from her more because she's just negative all the time and it wears on my spirit...my sister, because she does nothing but party.... all of them claim to know God but nothing about their lives reflect it.

Its one of the things I think Christians look over. Being called out from the world often can mean being called away from your worldly family.

I wish i could chose a better work environment :-) but as far as true friends and associates go i stick closely to my congregation. The young ones provide the insight of youth and a fresh perspective and the older ones provide experience and wisdom in harder situations.

Yes, I do. I associate with those of like minds. There are people I know that are not brothers and sisters but they are not friends. I stay close to the congregation.

I do, but my hsbnd is not in the truth.
And his friends are not in the truth.
So, to the extent that I can, I definately do.
When I meet some1 new,
I don't just spurt out "I'm 1 of Jehovah's Witnesses!"
But, they will know usually w/in the first 10-15 mins., or so.

example: I met a girlfriend of a nephew,
on my hsbnd's side;
she had a filthy obscene mouth.
I spoke to her about that kind of language;
besides, not; in my house or my presense,
or the baby; but in life, as well.
I brought her aside, privately.
We spoke, she just fell in love w/ me;
(her words) she told others in the family;
w/ Excitement! in her voice & a spring in her step!!!
She said, cuz most ppl, would talk about it /you behind your
back or would just let it out, in front of whom ever.
I did not.
I had respect for her, she said; it showed bc I spoke to her w/
respect in my voice, not in front of other ppl.
And I spoke the truth of the matter.
She said I didn't beat around the bush;
no hum-ma-na;hum-ma-na; shuffle, shuffling of the feet.
I am a Witness.
And I don't allow that in my house.
I even told her what you do /or want to do is your business.
But, it is Not a womanly trait.
Nor is it attractive.
We've been friends ever since.
She still tells ppl; I am her example.
Then as we got to know each other more;
she asks me about my God, whom I serve, Jehovah.

I associate with all who come into my life. When I meet someone new in my life, I always give them the opportunity to know who I am with respects to give them. It will always be this way. If I were to come to learn this person is no good, than yes I will stay away from them.
