Both love and hate have varying definitions, but I suppose you could say they're antonymous.
And no, love and hate are not one entity. They're different conditioned responses to different electrical impulses in our brains.

Some people say that hate is love with a negative judgment. I think that love and hate are just two emotions that serve survival purposes.

Some forms of love are definitely hormonal/chemical reactions, like the heavy, dreamy eyed, state when you first "fall" into love.

I see the "love is the opposite of hate" statement often.

In the true sense of the definition of "opposite", the opposite of hate would be "to be hated". I've got that one down! lol

the other main human emotion is fear to complete the triangle... think how they are cause and effect ...fear of being loved or of loving someone else for example. does that cause hate in some way?? manifested in the form of each individuals characteristics
