Yes.

Tithing is showing the Lord that you know that you know where your increase comes from.

Yes. I give the first 10% of what I make to the Lord. I didn't used to; I thought I had to hold on tightly to every single dollar just to pay my bills. But then I read Malachi 3:10, which states:
"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it]."
And there is also Malachi 3:8:
"Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings."

So I started tithing, and lo and behold, somehow all my bills managed to get paid anyway, and I received many blessings. Things didn't wear out as fast, either. Before I started tithing, I used to use those payday-loan places all the time. Afterwards, I never had to again. I've discovered that it's better to have 90% with a blessing than 100% with a curse.

I tithe, because my Pastor has preached on it. And so I know that the tithe is the Lords. So? I tithe a 10th of any increase I may earn. Offerings are the money I may give above my tithe to different ministries of the Lord.

I go beyond tithe mainly because I have a compassion for people and want to see the Lord's work done.

I also know his promises, but I pray that these are only a secondary reason.

Luk 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Mal 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it].

11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.

12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

I don't tithe because I no longer believe that there's an equal give and take at church. I think that churches are powerhouse profit engines that receive more money than they are due. I've based a Christian ministry dedicated to never asking for donations, relying purely on corporate support, thereby releasing members from any kind of financial inequity. Let me know if you want information on what we offer.

Monetarily, yes, as it all belongs to God in the first place! To give back one-tenth of the money we are blessed with, is a small amount to return to God for His Kingdom! When we finally discovered and became "convicted" of the principle of tithing, we found that we were better off, financially, than when we only gave a few dollars and kept the rest! In addition we give monetary donations. We also give of our time and talents to the furtherance of His Kingdom; however we're still working up to giving God a tithe of our time and talent, so please pray for us in this area! Thank you!

Yes, my wife and I gladly tithe. It hasn't always been 10%, sometimes more, sometimes less. But it is always the base of our giving. We tithe money to our church fellowship. That doesn't count other donations made by us, whether it be time, or monetary.

I do believe in the act of tithing. My pastor teaches us weekly on the laws of reciprocity. If it takes finance to run your home, wouldn't it take finances to run your place of worship. I have been robbing God of his due, and have been sinking ever since. I have made a conscious decision to do that which is right and trust in the lord to take care of me and the bills that will always be there whether I have money to pay them or not! He is my Jehovah Jireh-the lord our provider.

Yes. God said to test Him in this and I did and He opened the storehouses and poured out blessings, just like He promised he would if I did.

"…Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it." Malachi 3:10
