is he all powerful? if so, he's kind of a jerk, eh? he has total control and leaves us down here with all this pain and suffering. all powerful guy telling us to believe this and don't believe that and he'll save us too. whys an all powerful deity really need anything from us? someone with the power to do anything shouldn't need to create a bunch of monkeys to 'test' their faith. after all if the student fails, who failed? the student or the teacher? if he's all powerful, than he is powerful enough to make me believe, right? so...why don't I?

if he is not all powerful....well, than he's incompetent. why should we worship a god that created such a crappy existence?

...and if he's not omnipotent the bible is wrong, which gives Christians two choices:

1) He doesn't exist
2) He wants evil to exist, and is therefore evil.

They are forced into #2, and have to try to say God allows evil but is not himself evil. The problem is that God does not need to allow evil. He can accomplish anything he wants (even free will and lesson-teaching) while still not allowing evil. So if he uses it anyway he's evil.

Ok....
Yes, he's all powerful. No, he's not a jerk - quite the opposite.
Correct - an all powerful deity doesn't NEED anything from us.
Not all the students have failed....
Even though he's all powerful he wants his worshipers to VOLUNTEER out of their LOVE for him to worship him. He didn't create us to be robots. We don't all love and hate the same things.
And he didn't create the "crappy existence" you see today. Adam, Eve and Satan are to compliment for that.

You don't seem to really want the answer to your questions. If you do there are some good ones above.

God gave us the choice of what we want to do with our lives. Yes there is suffering and terrible things that we all must endure but God is not to blame. Satan is.

The bible is there for you to choose. You can educate yourself with it and walk in God's ways or not.

God is pure love. The closer you get to him spiritually the better you actually feel (and it's NO delusion it's clarity) in any circumstance. He gave us the choice to live our lives here the right or wrong way. He will later judge us on our actions words.

Not so bad in my book!

God did not create this crappy existence in which we live in today. We made it for ourselves. God gave us a beautiful and wonderful land to be on with plenty of everything that we may have needed. Man could not obey God's one wish and so we are condemned to live this way. We are the ones who are ruining this Earth day by day. People complain and yet the one's that do, do nothing about it. We must CHOOSE which path to follow.

Even though you have forsaken him, remember this:

"The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you."~Deuteronomy 31:8

God is powerful enough to accomplish all of his purposes which includes perfecting his children. He did not spare his own son, why are we any better? There is something we are supposed to learn, some more so than others, that cannot be learned any other way. No he cannot make you believe, that would be using force, and God is not that way. He uses love, long suffering, persuasion and the simple spiritual things, not force or coercion. If a student fails, the student gets the failing grade, not the teacher.

Of course He is all powerful. He's the God of the universe. Why is He a jerk? After all, we brought all of this upon ourselves with our sin. Then He goes out of His way, to send His only son to DIE for us, the worst way possible, and offer us the chance to be with Him again, and you call Him a jerk? Why does He need anything from us? It's because he loves us. He knows every name of every person ever created. He loves us, and desires to have a relationship with the people He created. He desperately wants everyone to repent and come back to Him, but because we are so stuck in our sinful ways we reject Him. He gave us free will to openly choose Him, but we turned against Him. So in essence we failed. I hardly consider the God who created everything, a jerk.

Yes. All powerful would be able to forgive our sins directly, but he made (as the myth goes) an innocent suffer for them; his own "son" no less. Rotten to the core.

You fail to comprehend some things, and I will try to explain them.
Yes God is omnipotent. He is also true to his word, and will not violate what he has said.
God gave the earth to Adam, to rule and reign over it..but Adam gave that ruler ship over to Satan..that's why we are in such a mess.
God came to earth, clothed in human flesh, as Jesus Christ to rescue us from the disaster we created. One day, he will return and destroy evil once and for all. He will create a new heaven and a new earth.

You are sadly MISTAKEN for thinking that way. This is the same being that took all our sins upon Himself in order to save us. He loved us to His death.
