Now I have the attention of 95% of the people in this forum:
Is there a limit to how ignorant a religious person can be? Case in point:

Aren't fundamentalists at all embarrassed with the stuff they come out with?

'Outer space is heaven. Heaven is up & hell is down.'
Can you believe this? I answered a question recently about where heaven is - about how in the bronze-age they thought you could get to heaven if you built a tall enough tower. Who would have thought there were still people who believed that!

OK I admit there are christians and other theists who have a decent degree of scientific literacy but when you take things on faith and eschew real data aren't you bound to end up a bit lost? (Yes, someone will say I'm the one who's lost because I haven't found Jesus...)

Sorry brown eyed girl but that just won't stand up. All too easy isn't it? 'They're not real christians. We are.'
Who are you to say that? She's obviously as sincere in her faith if not more so. Maybe you're not a real christian because you don't believe in the literal truth of the bible.

Oh yeah? You think that's stupid? Try this on:
"SIRIUS Black -Harry's godfather- changes into a dog. Sirius is the brightest star in the sky and part of the constellation CANIS MAJORA. Sirius is recognized by occultists and Satanists to be the place where Lucifer dwells, that is, Hell, and Sirius is keeper of Hell. Venus, another name for Lucifer, became goddess of the Dog-star Sirius. "
I could write a novel on all the errors in this statement, so I'll just let it speak for itself.

A truly pathetic attempt at trying to shoehorn the Bible into science, no??
And for a Christian to think that "Christian Science" is a christian person that likes science.....even more pathetic.

What really riles me is there are plenty of religious people who accept science and rationality while maintaining some sort of spiritual belief. It's not as though they have to be mutually exclusive. People like that are mouth breathers, plain and simple.

I suspect that girl was very young and just didn't know better.
It's unfortunate that people are indoctrinated before they are capable of critically evaluating the evidence.

There is no limit to ignorance and stupidity.

Ugh. My head hurts. I got nuthin.Oh wait.
How bout you're classifying the intelligent Christians with warped people calling themselves Christians.
NO ONE knows where heaven and hell are, and people thought blood- letting cured the sick years ago too.

Ya know, if Christians, Muslims, Jews, whatever, are wrong, then we at least move through this world with a reason to exist before going into non-existence after death. You, on the other hand, had BETTER be right. I'll bet I have YOUR attention.

If you begin with a ridiculous premise (The Creator of the universe can read my thoughts and wants me to be happy), then you search for supporting "evidence"....there is basically no limit.
