Everyone dodges the question and the issues behind this. You have no answers?

Deu 18:20 But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.'
Deu 18:21 And if you say in your heart, 'How may we know the word that the LORD has not spoken?'--
Deu 18:22 when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You need not be afraid of him.

Joseph Smith taught that God had parents and was a man just like us who had to live a "good life".

Joseph Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation, 1: 10,12

Some people are troubled over the statements of the prophet Joseph Smith…the matter that seems such a mystery is the statement that our Father in heaven at one time passed through a life and a death and is an exalted man. This is one of the mysteries….the Prophet taught that our father had a father and so on. Is not this a reasonable thought, especially when we remember that the promises are made to us that we may become like him? -

mormon_4_jesus is closest to say that they do not know. But that isn't what the writings teach.

Unless the prophet is wrong.

Technically according to Joseph Smith and Brigham Young, Mormons are atheists..believing that all that God is, is a man. Also, stating there are more than one God. Which the word refutes:

Isa 43:10 "You are my witnesses," declares the LORD, "and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me.
Isa 43:11 I, I am the LORD, and besides me there is no savior.

I'm gonna go ahead and say that the prophets were wrong on this one.

I fail to see the conflict. I see nowhere that Young said that God was a human, just that he was the first. I might be missign something, but since God created Adam, wouldnt' that make God the father of Adam, and hence the first in the house of man?

Putting that aside. There is no reason that God could both be a man and not a man. God is omnipotent, there are no limits on what god can do or be. Just consider, by the trinity view, God is three beings, the father, son, and the holy ghost. So God is, at least a third, a human being (Jesus).

I should mention that I am not a Mormon, nor am I particualrly familiar with Mormon theology, this is just my personal thinking.

I think Theoloje gave you a good answer. The original Greek and English don't have the same connotation. It's also difficult to argue with the above point that an omnipotent God could be a man any time he so chose.

Just because you're not getting the answer you seem to want does not mean we are not giving you a straight answer.

Stop going to MRM and Saintsalive and all those crappy sites that just want to crap on Mormons, and go instead to an LDS site.

But, to answer your question, as directly and succinctly as I can, here goes:

I DON'T KNOW. And I dno't believe that any LDS can give you the answer you seek because WE DON'T KNOW. God has never told us. And if God never tells a prophet something, you can't accuse him of not being a prophet. God does not impart ALL of His vast knowledge to anyone. There were things that Joseph Smith asked God and God either didn't answer, or His answer was I'm not going to answer.

So, that's the best I can do. If you don't like it that's not my problem. You don't really want to know the truth, you just want something with which to attack us. Either one of us tells you what you want to hear, or we don't give you what you want and you say "SEE?? You SEE??"

I'm surprised you have n't been reported yet.

Just because you don't get the answer you want doesn't mean you need to ask the question 5 different times.

It is really hard to provide decent answers for questions that are clearly antagonistic and not looking for explanations. I have better things to do with my time than try to convince the un-convincable.

There is a question in both the Old and the New Testaments: “What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?” (Ps. 8:4; see also Heb. 2:5–7.)

The LDS believe that God the Father is the Supreme Being in whom we believe and whom we worship. God is the ultimate Creator, Ruler, and Preserver of all things. He is perfect, has all power, and knows all things. He "has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man's".

He is The Father of Our Spirits. One of life's great questions is "Who am I?" A beloved Primary song helps even little children answer this question. We sing, "I am a child of God, and he has sent me here." The knowledge that we are children of God provides strength, comfort, and hope.

We are all spiritual children of God. As His children, we can be assured that we have divine, eternal potential and that He will help us in our sincere efforts to reach that potential.

God is The Supreme Creator. Through Jesus Christ, He created heaven and earth and all things in them. Alma said, "All things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator" (Alma 30:44).

He is The Author of the Plan of Salvation. Our Father in Heaven wants us to dwell with Him eternally. He wants to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. In order to make this possible, He prepared the plan of salvation. He sent His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, to loose the bands of death and atone for the sins of the world: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). This sacrifice is the greatest expression of our Father's love for us.

As children of God, we have a special relationship with Him, setting us apart from all His other creations. We should seek to know our Father in Heaven. He loves us, and He has given us the precious opportunity to draw near to Him as we pray. Our prayers, offered in humility and sincerity, are heard and answered.

We can recognize our Father by learning about His Beloved Son and applying the gospel in our lives. The Savior taught His disciples: "If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also. . . . He that hath seen me hath seen the Father" (John 14:7, 9).

We can draw nearer to God the Father as we study the scriptures and the words of latter-day prophets and as we give service. When we follow God's will and live as He would have us live, we become more like Him and His Son. We prepare ourselves to return to live in Their presence.
