i've seen many people in here say that sinning is part of our nature, it's in our genetic makeup. we are "born" sinners

bibliophile - YOUR god may disagree, but that doesn't matter to me. just like if my gods disagreed with you, it wouldn't make an ounce of difference in your life

The first thing that someone should be considering is whether the idea of sin is actually real.

If God is supposed to be perfect how could She have made anything or anyone that wasn't perfect.
Think about it. The idea of sin assumes certain things about God that seem highly unlikely.

First it assumes a God who is too incompetent to organize a simple educational field excursion and figure out a way to get all of the students home safely.

How likely is this that God would not be smart enough to come up with a plan for our salvation that is going to work 100 percent of the time?

It also assumes that God must have created us imperfect if we are sinners.

One might assume that God would be able to create someone perfect each and every time if he chose to. Assuming God is capable of this, then it follows logically that we must be perfect creations if we are actually creations of this perfect God.

Unless of course you are saying that God chose to create us imperfect.

If God created us imperfect then anything that may go wrong is Gods fault, not ours. This seems a bit illogical at best so I think that we need to assume that What God creates would have to be perfect.

If this is the case and Gods creations are perfect, then nothing that we can do could change what God created perfect and make it imperfect unless we think that we are more powerful than God is.

How likely is it that we the creation could be more powerful than the creator. I personally find this idea somewhat amusing, and a bit absurd.

Religion tells us that God is perfect. If this is true then it could hardly be logically for Gods creations to be considered to be anything less than perfect.

If this is the case and we are perfect creations of a perfect God then Nothing that we can ever do could possibly change this perfection that God willed, unless we were so powerful that our choices could override and change the will of God.

How likely is that????

Think about it.

Genesis 6: 4-5

There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

As you can see, the devils plan was to alter mans DNA with his servants who used to be angels, that way, man would have a predispotion for evil, Noah was saved as he wasa servant of God, didn't messs around, and had a clean gene pool, therefore God wiped out the rest with a flood and spared Noah

However it also goes on to say

And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

This means that God gave Noah 120 years to tell people there was gonig to be a flood and that they should get on baord, no one did. Noah pleaded with God saying Lord, if you find a sinlge innocnet person, spare the world. But the Lord could not find a sinlge one.

He gave the rest of mankind 120 years to get onboard the ark and change their ways, but they refused.

God gave them grace, they refused, so he had to justify.

This is why Chrisitans always make it a big deal to cliam Jesus as their Lord and saviour. Through his shedding of blood all sins are forgiven.

Accept the mercy grace and forgiveness of the Lrod, so a substitute is found in your place so he does not have to send you to hell.

If one does not accpet Jesus, then God can find no substiitute for them. Jesus is the only sacrfice that will suffice, as he lived a life without sin.

Therefore there is a comarison to the ark

accept the grace and forgivness of God, or be justified by him

Genetic? The soul is not anything that can be discovered by scientific means.

Now when you say:

"i'm not a sinner.", I'm afraid that Scripture & God, disagree with you:

22This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

10If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.

[God] puts an apple tree in the middle of [the Garden of Eden] and says, do what you like guys, oh, but don't eat the apple. Surprise surprise, they eat it and he leaps out from behind a bush shouting "Gotcha." It wouldn't have made any difference if they hadn't eaten it....Because if you're dealing with somebody who has the sort of mentality which likes leaving hats on the pavement with bricks under them you know perfectly well they won't give up. They'll get you in the end.

I do believe in God, btw, just not sure about the Bible being the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Sorry to take heed to that. I even have an inherited anomaly which statistically united statesmy possibility of dying early, yet in a extra oblique way. The Christian theological answer is "the autumn" meaning God is to blame for the solid bits of introduction, yet humanity's sin has delivered approximately a corrupt international no longer as God might wish it. (because of the fact the devil's international, for now; because of the fact the outworking of the failure of Adam's stewardship of the total earth; or as direct curse and punishment: see, case in point, Genesis 3:sixteen. Expositions in this variety.) for this reason something undesirable isn't God's fault, yet something solid is his paintings. this is an irrefutable place. Or in case you desire, a self-working trick. edit: there are some woolly solutions coming in spite of the undeniable fact that right here, from Christians who do no longer seem to appreciate their very own bible. Ex-Christian atheist.

God created Adam and Eve perfect in every way. It is through the curse of sin that we have become fallen creatures with a natural propensity to be sinners.

God created man with free-will. Man chose to sin, and so caused the fall of man. It's not genetic, either. It's inherent in our souls. He didn't create us as sinners, he created us with the choice to sin, or not. The first man chose to sin, and thus cursed us all. Not wanting all of humanity to suffer eternity in hell, God sent Jesus as our savior, and through him, we can be redeemed from our sinful lives.

Your question is along the lines of such a one as "Do you still beat your wife?" You pose your question as a stacked deck, and not an honest inquiry.

Umm, listen dear...first of all there is only one God. Whether you choose to believe in Him or not is up to you. But He didn't make anyone sinners. I'm sorry to break it to you, but because of the fall into sin in the Garden of Eden, all of us are sinners, incl. me and you.

Romans 3:23-24 -- for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

1 John 1:8 -- If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

Mankind was made physical so they could learn a valuable and necessary lesson without committing the unpardonable sin.

Mankind is not God, and never will be. Sin and a sinful nature serves to prove this.

God created man with FREE WILL.....we choose to sin....In Genesis 6th chapter.....After the world became so evil. God said I'm sorry I made man....I will destroy him..and he sent the flood.........It will happen again folks....God's wrath is coming in the great tribulation that is coming to the world.. because of sin....no flood but fire...
UFO's....God is sending a great deception...Satan is in charge of the ufo thing......he is behind it all....it is real and when these demons show up people are going to say wow they are our space brothers..and people will believe the lies the demons tell us and God will allow it because man has rejected his son Jesus.
