If your going to quote Matthew 7:1, atleast read on to verse 5 before you do.

Eze 3:16 And it came to pass at the end of seven days, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
3:17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
3:18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
3:19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
3:20 Again, When a righteous [man] doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

Matthew 18:15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
18:16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
18:17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
Sorry if it seems like I am on a jugdment quest but God has layed a burden on my heart for this vital statued. Many see it as an act of hate, but it is an act of love.Today with deception within and without, Christians need to be seeking judgment as never before and not hiding behide the rocks as Davids brothers did with Goliath.

Don H you got half of the verse right. There is two judgments that take place here. The first one starts with ourself.Thats the part you got right. But it doesn't say your to mind your own buisness after you have dealt with yourself. It say that now you can see clearly to take the speck out of your brothers eye.Trouble is no one wants to deal with their own self first. So they excuse themselves from the latter.

It makes me sad to see Christians rejecting scripture. If I judged you to be a good Christian, and on your way to heaven it would be perfectly exceptable.Your right about one thing though. We all will be judged on that day.And then many will say "why didn't you tell me?"Don't be surprised if your answered with the same words that you have so often spoken, "Were not to Judge"

The Bible says Judge not lest ye be judged. that means do not judge unless you cam be judged innocent in that same area. That means don't declare someone guilty of a sin if you are guilty of the same sin.
God said, don't. do certain things, you are not judging if you do not add to what God said. Our society has turned away form basic truths and we are paying a price for it. (guns in school etc. Nobody wants to say anything is wrong these days.
You are not judging if you are quoting God!

We shouldn't be critical and cold but we need to be as wise as serpents! Some think that following Jesus' words to judge not means we need to be passive doormats who sacrifices their strength and courage for Pillsbury dough boy blobs! Such people are a disgrace and do not resemble Jesus in anyway!
Being naive isn't a Christian virtue it's a fool's virtue!
Some good books on the subject - "No more Christian Nice Guy" by Paul Coughlin and "Wild at Heart" by John Eldredge.

The key to understanding this text is in verse 17, "I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel". The text is referring to fellow believers within the church. It is not referring to those outside of the church.

We are supposed to try an convince people to not keep messing up their own lives. But when they mess up, we are supposed to be supportive.
Christ said how we judge others, is how we will be judged.
He also said that all men teach for doctirnes are the commandments of men. And they know nothing about the weightier matters of the Law, like Judgement and Mercy.
Leave the Judging to God, as we don't know all the circumstances that got someone where they're at.

Don, it is not a matter of "judging" but one of "inspection".
Most ppl are in the habit of condemnation when they "judge", in other words they are judge, jury & executioner. That is NOT what God calls us to do. Rather than be the "judge", try being the servant. That is what Jesus did, and what He calls us to be like. If you see someone that is sinning, by all means try & HELP that one to overcome the sin, but NOT by telling them they are condemned to hell. (refer to the Samaritan woman that had 5 "husbands"....even Jesus did not condemn her in the sin, (though He did acknowledge her sin) nonetheless He helped her to OVERCOME her low self-esteem, and helped gently guide her to be a better person! ) Hell may be the final outcome for many ppl, but if we choose to show love, kindness, sincerity, respect, etc. towards our brothers & sisters, then maybe we can work as the "TEAM" (Body) we are supposed to be, rather that be like the 'foolish woman' that tears her house down. Yes, we can call sin, SIN. Yes, we can speak to the offender about what GOD says in regard to the specific behavior, but to say that that particular person is condemned to hell?..We just don't really KNOW where ppl will FINALLY be in the "Eternal Now".

I GUESS MISJUDGING AN ANSWER IS YOUR ANSWER.
That is the issue. We cannot play God and judge others (sorry friend) because we do not know all, like Him.
When we judge, we judge wrong sometimes. Thank God there's a Judge who is always right!!!

when we judge brothern we are to do so by helping
someone else not to stumble. not through judgement
but through prayer and soul searching.
not to judge evil, is to let evil reign, and therefore it is
our duty to intervene on the innocent person's behalf.
one should never walk away when someone/anyone
needs help. those who run when someone is being
murdered have helped perpetuate the crime.
we are our brothers keeper.
