i know that when i see a skeptic present an argument that is not sound or is generally weak, other skeptics (including myself) will point it out. The last thing we want to see is incompetent polemics.
But christians continuously present arguments here that "ride the short bus" and i can only suppose that the more intellegent christians are deliberately avoiding the task of setting their "kin" straight on those things.
If you are a christian, and you see another christian present a glib argument, like for example any derivative form of "pascal's wager", why don't you chime in to edify your fellow beleivers line of thinking?
Obviously, skeptics themselves don't hold back from correcting those arguments, but when a "unbeliever" corrects them, it only makes "less smart" christians bitter and insolent about the issue.
wouldn't it make more sense for the wiser christians to take a slightly more proactive with the people who are "liabilities" for their own side?

I think this because once they die they'll feel really bad for not believing it. If you think otherwise, feel free to tell me why.

My friend is an atheist. I have known her since the second grade and she was always a devout Christian. When we got into high school, I moved to a Christian school. A year later, I see her at a celebration that the town holds every year and she told me that she was an atheist. I asked her why and she responded "When God proves himself to me, I'll believe in him." How do I respond to that comment?

Atheism may not be a religion, but does it still qualify as a "meme"? NOTE: If you don't know anything about memetics, PLEASE don't embarrass yourself by replying until you've done your homework! Check out:

I go to my doctor and trust her completely even though medical research follows the scientific method as well.
I trust that when I go on a plane it won't crash even though aeronautical science follows the scientific method.
I trust that almost every single technology I use will work correctly because all the research that allows for it to work follows the scientific method.

But when it comes to evolution, the big bang and the age of the earth I suddenly stop trusting science.

Why am I such a hypocrite?

Physically speaking, God kept one (probably skinny) guy from falling (through the water) for a couple minutes; not a big deal. But an anomoly in the normal laws of physics is a very big deal.

Contrast it with the infinite complexity of the human eyes which Jesus healed...is that a bigger miracle or a smaller miracle than walking on water?

Furthermore, is it a bigger miracle than all those, or even a miracle at all, that God holds all the oceans against the Earth at exactly the same level..."sea level"?

I had a dream about God when I was 8 years old.

In the time that my mother and father went to Las Vegas to get married, I found myself up late one night. I was kneeling on the couch looking out the window, and I prayed to God. I asked God if he would watch over my mom and my dad because I was worried about them. My grandmother walks in and she says, "Zunnia what are you doing up so late?" I said, "I am worried about my mom and my dad." She says, "Oh they will be alright, now get back to bed."

That night when I went back to bed. I had a dream about God. In the dream-

I came from the west, so I was going to the east. At the height that I was up to him, was his feet. He had/has huge feet. He In the time that my mom and dad went to Las Vegas to get married, I was wearing the sandals that they use to wear back in the day when he was here. As I looked up I saw he had on a pure white cloak that came all the way down to his feet, that is how I could see his feet really good.

Couldn't god have just said whoever ask for forgiveness shall receive it(leaving his only son completely out of it)? Why or why not?

He is all powerful....

Has anyone ever asked God a yes or no question and said "Ok God, I'm going to flip a coin, and please tell me, if the answer is yes, make the coin land on heads, but if the answer is no, make it land on tails". Then you keep asking God more questions, relying on the toss of a coin to tell you what to do. I've tried it and it doesn't work. God gives signs, but you can't just expect a yes or no answer right on the dot.
(Hopefully I'm not the only one who as done this, I'm so embarassed.)

I was hit by a hotdog these guys threw at me. What do you think about it ? I was out jogging and this huge truck rode by. A hippy looking guy hung out of the passenger side and threw a cooked hot dog at me and it hit me. He was laughing. I am not kidding. I put this on so you could smile with me. I thought it was hysterical. He was laughing like a little boy and I saw it coming and caught it like a football pass as it hit me in the chest. I wasnt offended at all but rly shocked.

"God [is] NOT a man, that he should lie; neither the SON OF MAN, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do [it]? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? (Numbers 23:19)"

Jesus called himself the "Son of Man" repeatedly, and was also "100% human and 100% God" so does this conflict with your teachings or am i mistaken?
