Have you ever, for even a moment, considered that you are not helping others believe in God? Many of you, not all, have been trying to force your believes on the athiests and other religions. Show me where in the bible it says to do that and I will follow suit. Yes we are called to "show others the way" but by forcing it one others and yelling at them and saying they will go to hell, we get nowhere. Athiests may even have the right of it for all we know, all we have are personal experiences, the word of others, and the bible. Not that I'm saying there is anything wrong with that, I am a firm catholic, but we have to gently guide them. In the end it is their choice to believe as they see fit. Please tell me if you 100% disagree with what I have said and I will apoligize for offending you!

I would love to have another chance to come back and live another life, a chance to see how others live, since we are all so different, different choices, etc. I hope it is true.

Mat. 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

John 9:35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?

John 9:36 He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?
37 And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.
38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him

My personal favorite is "Atheists really believe in god but won't admit it."

after all, not all answers can be found in the Bible, especially if you find the Bible itself is being so unclear.

be honest, please.

I don't want some internet links or passages from some theologians. I prefer to hear from Christians who thought about this time in Christ's legacy - the Bible says Jesus descended into Hell, and on the Third Day, rose again from the Dead. We know WHY. My Question is WHAT do you imagine ocurred to Christ while He was in Hell? What did He do? For 3 days He paid dearly...He conquered Death....but what possibly happened down there? Was there conversation? Confrontation? Wars? What is / are your theories?

*** For those who chose to not believe, that is your option, but please allow an exchange between believers ***

Thank you!

What I'm asking is, what do you think is the one thing (or a couple of things) that Christians need to meditate more on or be set free by to walk according to Christ's purpose?

What do you think that most Christians just don't get on an intrinsic level that is one of the keys to walking in freedom?

Thanks!

Did he have reporters following him around night and day, recording in the minutest detail all of his utterances? How come we don't have any quotes from Joseph when he saw his bride to be starting to puff up, and he knew he hadn't caused it?

I went to www.zeitgeistmovie.com , and it seems like they are. Just the Zodiac with a fresh coat of paint. If you haven't seen the movie, watch it before you answer. It's about two hours long.

Christians who I meet in real life, or I have conversations without talking about religion always are completely taken aback and surprised when I say I'm not Christian.
Many have said

What does that mean to talk/act like a Christian (from a Christian point of view) ? Especially when I am not?

scripture which points to scourging, crowning of thorns, carrying the cross and falling, being crusixified that his blood was not his real flesh and blood, and it was only symbolic bleeding as he meant in the last supper. or is there another symbolic representation of his body and blood in scripture that I as a catholic am unaware of? If it was only symbolic, there must be scripture to back it up.

From what I saw on the bookshelves today, it seems America HAS become a Christian nation, it's just working out the kinks. OR, at least, lots of people seem to make the claim. Every other brand new book on the shelf was something Christian, telling us all that the Christian God is the only true God and that only the author's interpretations of that can be correct. Packaged in with the bestselling "The Secret"? "The Secret To God's Word", or somesuch. Publisher's agenda, I imagine.

It's a frightening prospect. We are one of the only developed countries who base our laws on the Bible to this day. One of the few who still have laws against homosexuals in place. Our money says "In God We Trust" and the pledge of allegiance to the country our forefathers wrote was CHANGED to read "one nation, under GOD". It seems more & more that America HAS become a theocracy - we're just waiting on the majority to outvote us. Do you think it will happen? When? Why? And where will you move to if it does?

that if there were actual *proof* that there was a higher diety or God, would you be a christian, buddist, muslim, etc.? To put it in simpler terms, I am asking that if I you saw God and actually had a deeper proof that it was God, would you believe?

about something that we can not fully prove to others is the real thing. Please someone explain to me why their religion is the right one, or none if your answer is so. I have been told so much about christians, seeing as I am one. But I never quite understood why we can't all agree on something. Yes I understand that everyone has free will to believe as they see fit, but which is the right belief? If we all feel so strongly about our own insights into this religion business, who is to say that one is wrong that yours is right. In all the religions that believe in one true god, why do they all believe it is someone different? Could it be that it is really the same god, but with a different name? To the athiests who are out there, I have seen so much "proof" that God is real, including personal experiences. What can you offer the proves their is no God, besides it is beyond scientific minds?

I don't care what your gender is, the Bible still says "by one MAN sin entered into the world, and death by sin." so forever man will be blamed for death and hell.

if the Bible-fundamentalists are claiming that they are following Christ, then they should know that they should honor Mary too just like Christ did (and still do actually), right?

why do Bible-fundamentalists seem to hate her? are they really a follower of Christ?

lol
"God" made us=flawed mammals
its ironic, we, human beings or early hominids have lived through the near impossible, hunted down woollly mammoths, came into the more civilized society, had a crazy idea to have the world's strongest army or take over the world countless times
my christian friend said "God" made us, the earth, and everything. He and every other christian ive met deny the simple truth right in front of them: God is not real. They deny the scientific fact that the world was created by some man-woman or whatever the heck gender this "God " is
and by God, there are a few Gods, so when i hear the word God , i must wonder, the God of Gods? are the chrisitans saying that their so called great "God" who made everything is more superior to the other 'Gods' we know?

The reason I ask this question is because members of my family say that it is very wrong for a women to preach God's word or be a leader in the church. The reason they say that it wrong is because this puts a woman in authority over men in the church ,which they are is very wrong. They also say that it says this is the Bible.

Here are my questions.

*If you believe this is a sin please explain why. I want to learn more about your point of view.

*If you believe this is not a sin please explain why. I want to learn more about your point of view.

*What position in the church do you believe a woman can have? Deacon, teacher (like bible school teacher), Minister, song leader, ect ?

I want to hear both sides of the story.

(I hope this does not offend any one, because I am truly curious about this)
