Mat. 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
John 9:35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?
John 9:36 He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?
37 And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.
38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him

Why does Christ allow the man to worship him? The angels forbid man to wrhip them it is not good that creation should be worshiped do you think Jesus did not know this rule? or is it that your belief is all mankind are gods? Did Jesus worship any man or say to worship only God?
Jesus intructs us to wporship only God but allowed us to worship him as he and his Father are one.

God Bless You JD. Where in your Qu'ran does Allah say his word was corrupted and man made him a liar?
The truth is in the true word of God,
The Qu'ran teaches the Book is his word and his word can not be changed and to agree with the people of the book.
The mesage of the prophets that efered to the Messiah will show you who the Messiah is...Isaiah 53 which we have copies of that predate the birth of Christ by 250 years explains that the Messiah would atone for sin.
Jesus in Luke agrees with this prophesy as prophesy that he must fufill.

Jesus himself interprets this passage as referring to him. Jesus said: "For I tell you that this scripture must be fulfilled in me, ‘And he was reckoned with transgressors’; for what is written about me has its fulfilment" (Luke 22:37, RSV). The quoted verse is Isaiah 53:12.
Jesus agreed with the prohesies of Isaiah 53 which predates him and we have written record of it from 250 BC..Jesus was in agreement with the prophets before him and did fufill the prohesies of Isaiah which foretold of him as Savior who would atone for sin with his life.
Isaiah 800 years before Christ made prophesies of the coming Messiah that he owuld be a savior and atone for the sins of his people wiht his blood. Christ did teach from Isaih and referenced Isaiah 53 as the prophesy he must fufill.
Now If Christ is in agreement with this prophesy it must not be a corrupt prophesy at the time of Christ...Why is he not in agreement with it in the Qu'ran?
the prophesy is of the Messiah 800 years before Christ

NO it teaches mans understanding is wrong but the book is good,, When and where and why is the Bible called corrupt? Not in the Qu'an only Muslims who know it disagrees with the Qu'ran. Do these people say when it became corrupt? certainly not before Muhammad who said to agree with the revelation handed down to the people of the book...God's word can not be changed.

Now what kind of god wouldn't keep his promise?

The answer is simple: These books are corrupted. Jesus never said that he was GOD, and if he said so, then he would've been a liar.
Why should we believe that a human being; flesh and blood, would be GOD or GOD incarnate; as the polytheists call him.
Jesus was a messiah (an anointed one) and he was a prophet and messenger of GOD; nothing more. He was neither GOD, nor part of the polytheist trinity, nor that nonesense that you believe and try to spread the poisons of to us.
djmantx, again and again, I invite you to Islam; Sunni Islam. Have you read the Ash'ari doctrine regarding GOD? Please try doing so.
GOD bless you and me, Amen!
EDIT: My dear djmantx, it is not the point whether Isaiah was referring to Jesus or not, the main point we have to focus upon is much greater than that; IT IS THE CONCEPT OF GOD, WHICH IS THE LOGICAL THEOLOGICAL SENSE. BTW, the Jews and Jesus' disciples themselves never said that Isaiah 53 was referring to the Purification of mankind through the death of the Messiah!
Of course the Koran speaks about the corruption of the Bible. In the second and third Suras (Heifer and the House of Amram), the Koran shows clearly that the Jews altered the Bible in countless places. Please refer to these two Suras; especially The Heifer.
Also, it is now agreed that the Bible contains at least 50,000 errors. Some Christian apologetics tried to get the number down to 2,000! Still 2,000 errors show that the Bible has been played with myriads of times.
Also, I believe that your concept of GOD is very poor. You keep repeating this b.s. that GOD is body and soul!!!! What's that??! Then you say GOD is a spirit??!! Shame on you! This is nothing compared to Islam's (and even to Judaism's) strictly monotheistic concept of GOD which assures His ONENESS, TRANSCENDENCE, DIVINITY, POWER, KNOWLEDGE, etc In comparison, your Christianity sounds more like paganism or one of those ancient mythologies. I'm greatly surprised to find you convinced deeply in this misguidance.
Once again, I invite you to read the Ash'ari and Maturidi concept of GOD. I believe you'll be greatly relieved, feel safety and amnesty, sound logical and shall basically change from this nonesense you're preaching.
GOD bless and good luck, Amen!

well simply because he is son of God, and a true christians are also sons of God. well that makes us all Gods, that conflicts with the doctrine of trinity because if we are all son of God and Jesus is a god because he is a son of God and it concludes that every one is who is claiming to be a christian is a son of God then there will be 3 + hundred million Gods. look for our doctrine of Christ and God, click the link below and be enlightened.
UPDATED A MINUTE AGO:
yes God and Christ commanded us to worship Christ, but your bible refference doesnt say anything that makes him god. God didnt say that worship "Christ for he is a God son" instead son of God. may i ask you if you're father is the president of the United States, does it mean you are also a president? i'm sorry dude but you guys cant give me a bible refference that says that Jesus Christ is a God nor Jesus Christ is a Son God. dont be offended men, i am also a Christian, i believe in God and Christ who is very special man, one of a kind. savior, the only mediator among man to God. but no bible verse can give us a conclusion that Christ is a god. yes you read the verse right but wrong conclusion, God and Christ are one, the question is "one" in what way? the passage is not saying anything about their oneness in nature nor oneness in objective. thanks for asking.
OK YOU ASK FOR IT
UPDATED A MINUTE AGO:
Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God (Matthew 3:17), is the one and only Savior given by God (Acts 13:23). Christ is the sole mediator between God and men (I Timothy 2:5) and the only way to God (John 14:6).
But we do not subscribe to the belief that Christ is God-Man. He is man in nature according to His own testimony (John 8:40) and the teachings of His Apostles (I Timothy 2:5; Matthew 1:18).
The attributes of a human being were found in Christ. He hungered (Matthew 4:2), thirsted (John 19:28), became weary or tired (John 4:6), slept (Matthew 8:24), and died (Matthew 27:50; I Corinthians 15:3). However, Christ as distinct from all men, is the only one who did not sin (I Peter 2:21-22; Hebrews 4:15).
He has been exalted by God and given a name above all other names, that at the name of Christ every knee should bow, those in heaven, and those on earth (Philippians 2:9-11). He has been placed by God far above all principality, power, might and dominion, and every name that is named, and all things have been put under His feet (Ephesians 1:21-22). Christ will eventually subject all His power and authority to the true God (I Corinthians 15:27-28). He had in so many instances introduced Himself as the Son of God but never did He appropriate the title “God?nor “God the Son?for Himself because He is not God but man.
Instead, We believe that the one and only true God is the Father, the Creator. We hold this belief because it is the doctrine taught by our Lord Jesus Christ and His Apostles (John 17:3, 1: I Corinthians 8:6). God is a Spirit (John 4:24), and, therefore, He has no flesh and bones (Luke 24:39).
There is no trinity of persons in God. Though the Bible speaks of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, never does it refer to all of them as gods nor as three persons in one God; rather, it points to the Father alone as the true God. The Son Himself emphasized that only the Father is the true God (John 17:3, 1) and that He himself is a man telling the truth which He received from God (John 8:40). The prophets also teach that we have only one Father who created us (Malachi 2:10); Isaiah 64:4, 8). He alone is God, there is no other God and no one is like Him (Isaiah 46:9)
God is from everlasting to everlasting, with no beginning or end (Psalms 90:2), immortal (I Timothy 1:17), and does not tire or become weary (Isaiah 40:28).
He alone is the creator of heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all things therein, and the seas and all that is in them (Nehemiah 9:6)
i just want to comment on the answer of the guy below me. you are telling us that Jesus Christ is only a fictional character in the bible therefore, the bible is not telling the truth. and if the bible doesnt tell the truth then you cant trust everything that is written in the bible. then that makes the bible fake. sir your you have serious problem to answer.
here are some evidence:
Flavius Josephus, a first century Jewish historian wrote of Jesus and the Christians:
"so he [Ananus, son of Ananus the high priest] assembled the sanhedrin of judges, and brought before him the brother of Jesus, who was called Christ, whose name was James, and some others (or some of his companions) and when he had formed an accusation against them, he delivered them to be stoned."
Cornelius Tacitus wrote about Jesus and the first century Christians in his Annals (a history of the Roman empire):
"Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilatus."
Even the atheist H. G. Wells spoke of Jesus, "...one is obliged to say, "Here was a man. This part of the tale could not have been invented."
let me explain to you that before man discovered that the world is round(which is also the time of Da Vinci, i believe 1500 A. D. onward) hundred of years before bible already have the answers. actually the revelation was written sometime in early years of the first century. and what can you say about the these discoveries: http://www.arkdiscovery.com/ and http://www.godandscience.org/apologetics/sciencebible.html well all this things are in the bible. no other book does that. and im so proud that this book has its evidence around us. Glory to God Almighty!

He also said we all are 'sons of god' and that others would follow who would accomplish greater things. Jesus was a brilliant adept whose profound contribution has been reduced down to nonsense and deity worship. His life story presented the 'way' of transcendence for all of us to replicate, and instead he has been turned into a silly pagan blood ritual.
The transformational symbolism he used in his sermons and parables is very clear that deity worship was not his intention in using the son of god or god the father terminology. We also know now that the apocalyptic rhetoric and much else attributed to him was added by others. When you can read the Gospel of Thomas and understand it, you will understand his intentions and the power of his path for ego transcendence (death) and resurrection of the authentic Christ (annointed) Self. It is the intersection of psychology and physics, mind/matter, being/reality.

Well... actually... Jesus never said ANYTHING. Modern biblical scholarship makes a very compelling case for the idea that Jesus never existed... that he was, in fact, entirely fictional. Richard Carrier's review of 'The Jesus Puzzle' is probably the best place to start, if you're interested in investigating this...
http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/richard_carrier/jesuspuzzle.shtml
Jesus is a fictional character. The gospels are fiction... and christianity is a complete scam... and christians are victims of that scam.
"There is not a single contemporary historical mention of Jesus, not by Romans or by Jews, not by believers or by unbelievers, not during his entire lifetime. This does not disprove his existence, but it certainly casts great doubt on the historicity of a man who was supposedly widely known to have made a great impact on the world. Someone should have noticed." ~ Dan Barker
"The Gospel story, with its figure of Jesus of Nazareth, cannot be found before the Gospels. In Christian writings earlier than Mark, including almost all of the New Testament epistles, as well as in many writings from the second century, the object of Christian faith is never spoken of as a human man who had recently lived, taught, performed miracles, suffered and died at the hands of human authorities, or rose from a tomb outside Jerusalem. There is no sign in the epistles of Mary or Joseph, Judas or John the Baptist, no birth story, teaching or appointment of apostles by Jesus, no mention of holy places or sites of Jesus’ career, not even the hill of Calvary or the empty tomb. This silence is so pervasive and so perplexing that attempted explanations for it have proven inadequate." ~ Earl Doherty, The Jesus Puzzle

We can read in Hebrews:
Heb. 1:8, "But of the Son He [The Father] says, "Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever..."
If Jesus is not God, why does God Himself call Jesus God in Heb. 1:8?

Being called "Son of God" doesn't exactly make one a Deity. King David was called "Begotten of God" same as Jesus was. Israel is also called "Son of God". This is no way made either of them Deity. And I wouldn't call Simon Peter saying "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living God" Worship in the same sense we use it today. The basic meaning of worship is to show deep respect, which one does to their own parents by honoring them... but that in no way means we worship our parents in the same sense we would worship a Deity.
John 9:39 Jesus said, "For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind."
Those who see will become blind... odd he says this after he's being "worshipped".
Edit: Then, that's you assuming I'm blind. =) Dangerous thing to do is to assume things of others on that level.

djmantx, you like to quote from human book to prove a dogma of your belief. That book has been revised many times and continue to next version on the next year (most probably, after KJ read YA to get some ideas).
I think you need to prove first that you're using a "good reference" book to show your dogma is valid.
ps: you can easily find in yahoo search of "error in bible" and publish one by one here to defense the book, if you can't then it is useless to quote from it. no offense.
