Everyone can speak to the Lord.
Those among us who say they have conversations with the Lord, are lying. ESPECIALLY when they tell you that the Lord is telling them, to tell you, to donate to their church.

Jesus is our High Priest and that is why we pray in his name and God hears us so we do go through a priest every-time we pray in the name of the Lord. Hebrews 4:14-16 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

No. For one thing, Jesus abolished the order of priesthood - this was shown upon His death when the temple curtain ripped from top to bottom. Those of us who bear His name can come to God as priests. We are, "the chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation."

There is "only one Mediator between God and man - the Lord Jesus Christ".

Therefore, I have the "power" to call the Lord.

Anybody can call the Lord Jesus Christ. We pray to God in Christ's name. That is why He came to earth, to be an intermediary between man and God because mankind's sin created a gulf between us. We believe God became man to die for our sins so that if we believe He did this through His Son Jesus, we can be forgiven. God did this because He loves us. Christ took our punishment upon Himself and redeemed us. Then at Judgment, when God looks at us, all He sees is Christ in us and we are forgiven-justification. Upon believing in Christ, we receive upon asking and by faith the gift of the Holy Spirit which is a part of Heaven in us and gives us Christ's mind to do good-not to earn salvation but because of salvation. Catholics believe it takes a priest to call the Lord. I'm not Catholic.

God gives us all the power to 'call' him. Priests aren't the middle man as they would have us believe.

personally, i believe that if a person is born-again (that is... accepted Jesus as his/her personal Lord and Savior) then anyone of us can call upon the Lord at any time! we all have the same direct line, we just have to be open and listen. i find that very comforting, hope you also find comfort and strength in the Lord.

Does anyone? A Jew, a Muslim, a Christian, a Buddhist?? We can all call on God/Jah/Allah...we can pray, ask, praise, thank, and honor the Creator. But can anyone, anywhere, "call" the Lord into temporal existence??? Don't think so.......

We don't need priests. We can call on the Lord ourselves.

Not only do priests have the right to call upon the Lord, but every person on this planet does. All they have to do is confess Jesus and they instantly have a direct connection to God. I talk to Jesus daily.
