Great question!!
1. I think one of the truths (which is actually quite a few, combined, as you'll see) that seems to be ignored is the whole idea of "who we are in Christ." I believe that if we truly had a revelation from the Holy Spirit (you know, fresh, "quickened" insight) on this subject, it would change our lives a lot. For example, realizing we are accepted in the beloved helps us overcome rejection. Realizing Jesus is our best Friend helps us overcome loneliness; realizing God sees us as the righteousness of God in Christ, helps us overcome condemnation. Awhile back someone asked a question about Scriptures on who we are in God, so I'll post the link to my answer to that here, as I went into it more there:

2. The fear of God. (reverence). The Bible says that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom and that the fear of God is to hate evil. (Prov. 9:10; 8:13; 16:6.) So many who say they are Christians take God's name in vain (e.g. saying "Oh my God" in conversation with others, not praying to God at the time), or have pre-marital sex (fornication), or do other things that the Bible says clearly are wrong. If we have the fear of God, we will not want to do things that offend Him.
3. Being quiet before God, and listening to God. Psalm 46:10 says, "Be still and know that I am God." God is glad that we come to Him with our praise and our prayer requests, but He also desires to speak to us, and we need to quieten our minds and hearts to allow Him to do that. He has so much to say to us (through His Word and also through the Holy Spirit speaking to our hearts) and how much time do we actually give to Him so we can know what is on His heart for us? (I am preaching to myself here!)
4. The fact that character is more important than spiritual gifts. I Corinthians 13 tells us that without love we are nothing. If we truly loved people the way Jesus did and does, wouldn't our churches be full of people wanting to know God?

Yes~~ I understand what you are going through! I struggled with this for years and asked several pastors about it. I buried myself in research and learned first hand WHY it said that. It is not an insult against us women, much to my relief!!! At that time they were having excessive problems with the women arguing and calling out and ... you know the kind... the yappers who are really only wanting a heated debate. They were unable to finish the services! They had to call for a state of calm because some of the women were being absolutely ruthless (probably the old biddies that we have all learned to love haha!) This temporary custom subsided, and it does not represent us on the whole. You can probably think back a time or two when a woman (or a man for that matter) has created a disturbing scene when people were trying to pray and be reverent. Please don't be discouraged, keep your head up! Jesus said there is neither male nor female in heaven, he loves us all the same.

That not only did Jesus come to save the lost.
But He came to set the Captives Free as well. Those are two different things. You can be saved and still have emotional baggage & generational curses. You're held as a captive unable to live the victorious life that Jesus came to give ALL. When you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior, then you're soul Is saved, not your thought process or the generational curses that are plaguing your life/family. The sins of the father are passed from one generation to the next through the blood. That's why Jesus had the Royal blood of heaven flowing through His veins when He was yet still In the womb of Mary,or He (Jesus) couldn't have been born sinless. He would had Mary's sinfull bloodline. Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice.

This will probably not be a very popular answer and would probably get many thumbs down if it wasn't on the bottom.
Matthew 5:13 You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses it's flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
Either we will fulfil God's purpose for us on the earth and be salt, or we will be fit only "to be thrown under foot and trampled."
What is your choice?
D. James Kennedy said " We are not called to be sugar." Every body likes sugar, but salt on the other hand, stings the person who is living in sin.
It's much easier to be sugar. No Christian who is all sugar when it comes to sin is going to be bashed by those who chose to live in sin. However those who do choose to be salt need to be prepared for heavy duty Christian bashing. But remember also that Jesus said "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all Manner of evil against you falsely for My sake.Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Matthew 5:11-12

I do not know if I want to answer that, I might get some down thumbies and that might upset my day…ok, who am I kidding, lol, like I care. The life giving truth which is needed most in the Church today is…Christ.
Christ is Life.
That may seem like a freeze-dried answer, but sometimes the old answers are the best, at least when they are spoken with understanding. Then again, do not listen to me, I am just a fool on a hill that likes to dance to the rhythm of the rain. It just has always seem to me, tat when one seeks God, when their focus is really on God, then they know, truly know what it is to be alive. That when this paces from practice to habit, from habit to just who we are, then we know the live is worth living. And when that happens then one no longer has to work at Love, it just happens.

I would have to say the two biggest problems are forgiveness and judging others , many Christians will take 1 scripture that says the spiritual man judges all things and turn it into a license to judge others, but they fail to see all the times Jesus warns us about judging, especially those who are not of the Church (body of Christ) I can find at least 6 scriptures that warn us about judging others, we are to judge ourselves! The other one I chose as a stronghold is unforgiveness, when people hold grudges they give control to the person that they are angry at, not only that but they can become bitter and when the bitterness sets in the whole "fruit" is spoiled. Well those are my thoughts, what do you think is ignored? Peace

Q1.Faith.
Q2. Christians need to give up any thing that robs them of daily time spent with God in His Scriptures and in Prayer.
Q3. How can you be a Christian if you do not even know who you worship. You cannot know God (short of a miracle) if you do not spend any time with Him.
I find most "Christians do not touch the Bible accept on Sunday. That is a problem.
In Faith all that was done was done.
Faith, Religious belief : a doctrine believed: trust and confidence in another: Fidelity; Loyalty; Honesty, as in good faith. Websters

SO MANY THINGS ARE IN THIS WORLD, PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW HOW TO ACCEPT PEOPLE AND THE WAY THEY LIVE, AND ONE THING THAT GOD GAVE US WAS FREE WILL AND PEOPLE TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT DAILY, THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT THIS WORLD IS WHAT THEY MAKE IT. PEOPLE SAY THT IF GOD IS REAL THEN THIS WORLD WOULDN'T BE AS VIOLENT, THEY DON'T REMEMBER THAT THEY COULD BE THE ONES THAT HELP MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN THIS WORLD.
ALSO I FEEL THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE MISINTERPRET THINGS IN THE BIBLE TO BE ONE THINGS, WHEN IT IS ACTUALLY SENDING OUT A MESSAGE THAT REQUIRES DEEP THINKING AT TIMES AND SOMETIMES NO THINKING. I THINK TRUE CHRISTIANS SHOULD TAKE THE TIME OUT ALONE AND SPEND SPIRITUAL TIME WITH THE LORD AND TO SORT THINGS OUT AND TO FIND OUT WHAT IT IS THAT IT MEANS TO BE A TRUE CHRISTIAN.
IT'S ALL ABOUT FINDING IT OUT ON A PERSONAL LEVEL EVEN IF IT CAN REQUIRE REARRANGING YOUR SPIRITUAL LIFE AND ROUTINE ALTOGETHER, THEN THEREFORE THEY WILL BE ABLE TO FIND OUT WHAT IT IS BECAUSE THE TRUTH LIES INSIDE OF ALL OF US.

To live by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit so they can live by the spirit and not by the flesh. I don't think most Christians understand that the Holy Spirit is a part of Heaven they already have plus it is the mind of Christ in them. Too many Christians think God's forgiveness through Christ gives them a license to sin practically. Doing good and living by the Holy Spirit should come as a result of salvation not as a means of acquiring it.

1 Corinthians 1:10
Now I beseech you, brothers, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing and THAT THERE BE NO DIVISIONS AMONG YOU, but that you be attuned in the same mind and in the same opinion.
(Capitalization added by me.)
There was a good reason for Paul to write that: what does it say to the rest of the world if we preach love and can't even get along with each other? It really ruins our testimony as believers.
