In my experience, fundies just aren't capable of honesty. The truth is their mortal enemy.

You are wrong. The Bible has the answer for every problem and every situation I will ever find myself in. The Bible has never failed me. Life was very hard before I started following the Bible, life is much easier now that I'm doing things God's way.

It can be, especially if you don't have thick skin. A lot of people call "fundies" stupid or ignorant, and more hateful things. It isn't hard to maintain your beliefs if you live in a bubble. It can be hard to stand up in a room a 300, and be the only one standing.

I don't find the Bible to be unclear. I just find that a lot of people aren't willing to do the Bible study.

maybe your life is a lot more complicated than mine, but i've never come upon a situation in my life that the bible didn't cover. the only part i have real problems understanding is revelations, but that's mostly because i haven't really taken the time to study it. you can throw whatever 'put-down label du jour' you wish, if it makes you feel better about yourself...but i consider myself a Christian-a follower of Christ-and what He said, He said very plainly, so that the average person could understand-He didn't waste too many words on the scribes, religious leaders, and theologians of His day; He spoke to the people in a way that they could understand. i don't need an army of interpreters and 'church-approved scholars' to tell me what Christ said, and what He meant!

no, best case scenario is that you find something relevant in the bible, worse is that you can try and fit it in the bible

I don't find it hard at all. I don't think the Bible is unclear and I think the answers to all of life's important questions can be found there.

No more difficult than being an Engineer or a Lawyer. I've been both, and I have no problem handling difficulty or ambiguity.

It seems to bother some people I suppose, but just because you don't understand something doesn't make it untrue.

It was when I was one, there was a constant conflict between belief and what the bible actually said and both of those with what science said.

They use the same mechanisms you do to solve their problems. They only SAY they're using the bible.

I don't find the Bible to be unclear at all. It has every answer we need in life, and then some. If your heart is opened to the Lord, you shall hear His word.
