Let nothing disturb you;nothing frighten you. All things are passing. God never changes.Patience obtains all things. Nothing is wanting to him who possesses God. God alone suffices.

He did now not exchange the guidelines. He fulfilled them. The rules interior the OT have been given to the Jewish usa. to now not the individuals. They have been portion of a covenant or settlement between the Jews and Jehovah God. They have been to be his human beings. regrettably they disobeyed and particularly rebelled against God. finally they killed God's own son. with the help of killing God's son they extra an end to the guidelines and the settlement they had with Jehovah. in the past Jesus died he made a sparkling covenant or settlement with all his trustworthy followers no remember what race or usa they have been. This turn into time-honored first with Jesus' apostles on the nighttime of the final supper. Jesus gave us 2 rules to stick to. to love God with all your coronary heart, soul and recommendations and to love your neighbor as your self. in case you obey those 2 rules then you particularly does now not be breaking any of the others. you have already replied your guy or woman query with the help of posting the verses in Matthew. examine those verses returned. one million. He fulfilled the guidelines. once you fulfill some thing then it particularly is carried out is it now not? You fulfill a settlement potential you carried out that settlement. The rules have been to be obeyed until eventually the messiah got here. Jesus turn into the messiah. word: What does Paul inform the Roman congregation? Rom. 7:6, 7: “now we've been discharged from the regulation, because of the fact we've died to that with the help of which we've been being held rapid . . . What, then, we could say? Is the regulation sin? under no circumstances could that turn into so! particularly i does now not have come to be attentive to sin if it had now not been for the regulation; and, to illustrate, i does now not have huge-unfold covetousness if the regulation had now not stated: ‘you're able to desire to now not covet.’” (here, in the present day after writing that Jewish Christians have been “discharged from the regulation,” what occasion from the regulation does Paul cite? The 10th Commandment, subsequently exhibiting that it turn into blanketed interior the regulation from which they have been discharged.)

maybe it was to show how powerful God was. He also fought evil, when moses led them out of egypt by parting the red sea. He had to send plagues becuz the pharoh was so proud and stubborn, God had to totally break his spirit so great was his stinkin pride, but the death of his own son he let them go. God means business. In the new testament we are shown what a loving God we have, but he is also all powerful.

"The wages of sin is death". That's the way it is! In the OT, you had to die for your own sins. God realized that none of us could make it on our own so He decided to come to earth in an earthly body, subject to all the same temptations we are subjected to, and pay for our sins. All we have to do is turn away from our evil ways, believe that He died for us, and rose again, in the flesh! It's that easy but, unfortunately, most people are too stupid, arrogant, and pride-full to see it as the perfect gift that it is!! If your name is not written in The Lamb's book of life, you will be made to account for every sin you have committed on that great day, the day of judgment.
The reaper will be coming when the crop is full! (sorry I don't know the verse but it's in the Bible)

Because he doesn't exist. But if he did, I'd rather go to Hell than serve him. Let's take a look at his record, shall we?
Passover - the massacre of thousands of innocents
Midianite Genocide - kill everyone except the virgin girls, who you may keep.
Jerusalemic Genocide - kill everyone (he specifically included both the elderly and the little children he admired so in the New Testament)
Amalekite Genocide - ditto above.
Samarian Genocide - I enjoy quoting this to anti-abortionists. Biblegod recommends slicing open the bellies of pregnant women and dashing their young to the ground.
Discipline - insolent teenagers are to be executed by stones.
Population Control - when Moses got sick of dealing with the Israelites, he told them all to go kill their brothers, neighbors, and friends. After three thousand of them died, he blessed the survivors in the name of the Lord.

This isn't coming from me, I'm not Christian. However, I did go to a catholic school for a while. The religion teacher explained it like this:
The OT was written by Jews, the NT by Christians.
God didn't change, but the people's perspectives did.

God has not changed, while he was "punishing" the nations he was still merciful, kind and loving. God was punishing those who needed correction just as any JUST Judge would. That does not mean he did not love the people, ask any parent and they will tell you when they discipline their children it is harder on them than it is on the child, but the parent who loves will bring correction so as not to have spoiled children. Peace

The God of the Old Testament is the same God of the New Testament. Disobedience still brings a curse and obedience still brings a blessings.

Hello, Against:
If you read the N.T. again, you will see that Ananias and Sapphira were killed in church service for lying--and the church grew.
And Herod Agrippa, the one who decapitated James, was eaten on the spot by worms--and the church grew.
And Jesus called the church hierarchy every name in the book, and whipped the temple moneychangers--and the church grew.
And Jesus predicted the destruction of Jerusalem--it fulfilled in AD 70--and the church grew.
Then the True Witness (Jesus) told John in Revelation that there would be plagues, and the church grew.
And the resurrection is coming when this planet is destroyed (see John 14, 1=-4; Isaiah 24) and Heaven will grow.

Old Testament is the law it condemns sinful man. (God's righteousness)
New Testament is Salvation through the atonement (God's mercy)
Read the first book of the Bible and consider the two trees in he midst of the garden.
The two natures of God his righteousness, the tree of knowledge of good and evil and his mercy, the tree of life.
The first is the law.
The second is the mercy.
Flesh came first then the spirit the old covenant was physical and the new covenant spiritual..
The first Adam flesh and the second Adam (Jesus) a life giving spirit.
The answer to your question is God has not changed man is changed through the atonement.

God always stays constant. He is a loving, generous God that wants the best for His children. It is not He who changes, but people who change and fall away from him. If you draw near to him, he will draw near to you. Nothing in the Bible happened by chance, it was all planned out before any events came into existence. You have to understand that Jesus Christ came to save all who were lost. That is what the New testament is about. The old Testament is BC and describes what the Law of God looked like before we had our Saviour, the only One who can save us from hell.
