There is no way that will happen.

The overwhelming majority of Christians want someone who believes in their god in office.

Remember, a lot (not all), believe that the only way someone can have "morals" is if they follow the bible and are Christians. A lot (again, not all) have a skewed ideal that god created right and wrong. So a lot (once again, NOT ALL) of them will say that someone who doesn't believe in god can't possibly know right from wrong, and they won't be voted in.

As for any other religious person who isn't Christian (Muslim, etc.), it will be VERY difficult.

Especially with the majority of the nation seeing Muslims as terrorists...when in reality, they make up a very small percentage of the Muslim population.

It's sad really...

Our next Prez will claim Christianity... so will the one after that. But look at all the ones in office right now (not the Prez, but many of the others) who have claimed Christianity... who have spoken out against (of all things) Homosexuals marrying... yet have been caught in Homosexual activities. I don't care what they claim their Religion is... I'd just like to see an Honest one for once..... I know... I'm asking for a friggin miracle.

why not? Obama is leading the polls and more than 75% of the population is non-black

but, there is a stigma of atheists by a lot of christians, that dont even know what the word means, many people are prejudice against jews and muslims so i agree that we wont have a non-christian for a while

but

romney is one of the frontrunners also

The question is not whether they are a christian, the REAL question is are they going to bring their beliefs into office with them and try to force them into laws like our nut job president right now?

Well, Which one would you like? Rudy believes in killing babies before they are born. Hillary doesn't know what she believes, just says what will get her the votes--learned that from Billy.

So, there are no Christian candidates worth voting for unless Newt runs.

Shalom, peace in Jesus, Ben Yeshua

Radical Islam will shift this country to a Christian nation that will outlaw their religion. Just wait and see: www.revelado.org/islam.htm "The Rise, Decline, and Death of Islam in Bible Prophecy."

No.
I have seen many Christians complain against authority and how its run, when we are to PRAY for those in authority. I believe many Christians will vote not based on praying for a godly man, but who they personally want in office, even if that person running for president contradicts the Word of God.

When Christians complain against those in authority, they rebel against Jesus.

but i hope not.
Somebody can say they are a Christian, but do they have the fruit in their lives is the question.
i think the next Pres will say he, or 1 particular she (i can't believe that might happen) that they are a christian.

Well, JFK was elected years ago, and he was a Catholic (and most don't consider them to be Christian), but we won't have an atheist any time soon, sadly.
