In your opinion what pivotal role did John the Baptist play as a part of Jesus' ministry? Do you think things would differ from what we know today had he and Jesus not known each other? (Yes I know they were cousins so please dont tell me this was immpossible. This is a hypothetical question.)

Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. (Genesis 1:9) How could this occur? The same way that the earth-quakes and volcanoes happen today. Everyone agrees that the Hawaiian Islands came to exist by volcanoes; this was but a mere lightweight creation as compared to the great cataclysms of the prehistoric past. Spurred on by the Son of God over thousands of years, the great earth shakers and movers forced huge masses of land to appear above the waters. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. (Genesis 1:10)

I hate asking this, but I have this feeling that maybe it is wrong to worship Jesus, because one of the commandments says you should have no other gods before me. Son(s) of God in the bible are gods. Id like to do what pleases God.

The Bible also has a very good test for adultery - How to come to know a woman has committed adultery, in the book of Numbers, Ch. no.5 Verse No..11 to 31. I’ll just say in brief. It says that… ‘The priest should take holy water in a vessel, take dust from the floor, and put it into the vessel - And that is the bitter water ‘And after cursing it, give it to the woman And if the woman has committed adultery, after she drinks it, the curse will enter her body, the stomach will swell, the thigh will rot, and she shall be cursed by the people. If the woman has not committed adultery, she will remain clean and she will bear the seed. A novel method of identifying whether a woman has committed adultery or not. You know today in the world, there are thousands of cases pending in different parts of the world, in different courts of law - only on the assumption that someone has alleged that a woman has committed adultery.

Mt 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

It began hundreds of years ago, when the Church changed the Bible. . .

The "New Testament": Pagan revenge

Between G-d's own miracles and the Jewish teaching of His Word, the pagan priest/pastorhoods of Egypt, Greece, and Rome were steadily losing their power over the gentile populations. They decided to fight back by creating a new religion, one that would claim to be the fulfillment of the Hebrew "Old Testament," yet would bring back the pagan lies in a new disguise.

Thus the "New Testament" was written, in Greek rather than Hebrew, and attached to the original Hebrew scriptures to try to change their meaning back toward paganism.

The "New Testament" tried to change G-d from One, as in the Hebrew scriptures, into a "trinity" as in Egyptian cults or the eastern religions of Hinduism and Buddhism. It described Jesus as G-d in a human body, like the pagans always described Pharoah and other wicked kings. It declared G-d's Law to be a "curse" that no one can truly obey, announced that there must be a "mediator" between G-d and man, and pretended that salvation could now be achieved outside the Law.

To blind the gentile nations, the "New Testament" also warned people not to learn from the Jews, declaring that Israel no longer possessed the true, complete Word of G-d.

In the Bible, the book of Daniel warned of an evil power--a false religion--that would believe in the true "G-d of fortresses... plus a god its fathers did not know." This religion would "speak bizarre words about the Most High, wear out the holy ones (the Jews), and plan to change the festivals and the religious Law."7 The Christian Church has indeed replaced Passover with Easter (the pagan holiday of Astarte and Ishtar) and Hanukah with Christmas (the pagan winter holiday).

"Any woman who prays with her head unveiled dishonors her head. It is the same as if her head were shaven, for if a woman will not veil herself then she should cut off her hair. But if it is disgraceful for a woman to be shorn or shaven , let her wear a veil. (1 Corenthians 11 :5).

Whosoever looketh upon a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already. If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
(MATT 5:28-29).

TIT002:005 - To be discreet, chaste, keepers at HOME, good, OBEDIENT to their HUSBANDS...

1PE 3:001 - Likewise, ye wives, be in SUBJECTION to your own HUSBANDS. -------

Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in SUBMISSION, as the Law says. -- 1 Corinthians 14:34

Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach [didaskein], nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." (1 Timothy 2:11-12)

Ecclesiastes 7:26 KJV: And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her but she will catch whoever continues to sin. (GOD'S WORD®)

"I permit no woman to teach or have authority over men". --1 Timothy 2:11-14

Genesis 3:16 ----Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy pain and thy conception; in pain thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

The matter was far from settled, however, despite high hopes for such on the part of Constantine. Arius and the new bishop of Alexandria, a man named Athanasius, began arguing over the matter even as the Nicene Creed was being signed; "Arianism" became a catch-word from that time onward for anyone who did not hold to the doctrine of the Trinity.

It wasn't until 451, at the Council of Chalcedon that, with the approval of the Pope, the Nicene/Constantinople Creed was set as authoritative. Debate on the matter was no longer tolerated; to speak out against the Trinity was now considered blasphemy, and such earned stiff sentences that ranged from mutilation to death. Christians now turned on Christians, maiming and slaughtering thousands because of a difference of opinion.

The Unitarian denomination of Christianity has kept alive the teachings of Arius in saying that God is one; they do not believe in the Trinity. As a result, mainstream Christians abhor them, and the National Council of Churches has refused their admittance. In Unitarianism, the hope is kept alive that Christians will someday return to the preachings of Jesus:
"...Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve."
(Luke 4:8)

Known as "tawhid" in Islam, and the "Shema," or the Jewish creed of faith: "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord." (Deuteronomy 6:4)

It was repeated word-for-word approximately 1500 years later by Jesus when he said: "...The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord." (Mark 12:29)

Case in point, Darfour. I'm not asking whether we send troops or humanitarian aid or HOW we should get involved, but rather...

Do you believe that in a more general sense, part of America's heritage and goodness the fact that we stand up for justice not only here at home, but anywhere in the world where atrocities are happening to innocent people?

Or, should we just worry about ourselves?

If you want to state your belief (nonbelief) system, that might make it more interesting as well.

Bible says in Genesis Ch. No. 1 Verses No. 3 and 5,…‘Light was created on the first day.’ enesis, Ch., 1 Verses, 14 to 19… ‘The cause of light - stars and the sun, etc. was created on the fourth day’. How can the cause of light be created on the 4th day - later than the light which came into existence on the first day? - It is unscientific. Further, the, Bible says Genesis, Ch. 1, Verses 9 to 13… ‘Earth was created on the 3rd day. How can you have a night and day without the earth ? The day depends upon the rotation of the Earth Without the earth created, how can you have a night and day? Point No..4, Genesis, Ch. No. 1 Verses 9 to 13 says… ‘Earth was created on the third day.’ Genesis Ch. No. 1 Verses 14 to 19 says…‘The Sun and the Moon were created on the fourth day.’ Today science tells us… ‘Earth is part of the parent body… the sun.’ It cannot come into existence before the sun – It is unscientific.

A) To be immortal, but continue to age and become more and more feeble and dependant on others.

B) To die at a normal age and cease to exist completely

The higher, bigger, more real vision -perception -discernment of God you have, the more Godly you try to imitate His perfect nature in treating other humans? If you see "god" as a moody, vengeful savage; do you tend to act the same way to other humans?

"Like father, like son."

Is it really true still today that "no man has seen God" ? If you can not literally now see God with your physical eyes, can you actually Spirit discern Him in your mind and perceive Him in you ? -- as you a Spirit of God-led living soul here ?

If God is the Infinite Eternal Universal Holy Luminosity (Spirit Light) of endless love and care, and thus having no outside and no beyond, how can that be realized without the false concepts of mere pantheism, panentheism, panthelism, etc entering ?

Please share your view of God and Who or what He/She/They are to you in your personal God-conscious experiences.

Thank you.

I am so annoyed by this at times. People will spell God with a capital "G" but gods with a lowercase "g." I find that disrespectful as I always spell God and Gods with capital G's. I feel that shows that the montheist God (depending on religion) are superior to polytheist Gods. I even notice polytheists when referring to the Christian Deity spell it with an uppercase "G" but when it comes to their own Gods, they do not give them the same courtesy. I was always taught to spell this way and feel that it is due to monotheism that polytheism is somewhat undermined in this way.

I am just curious as to what religious people think.
