The story of Adam an Eve. Satan helped them gain knowledge, but then god punished them for that. So I learned that not everyone is perfect... even gods (or the men who create them)

While tolerance has something to do with the golden rule as
well as the second greatest commandment, the FIRST
greatest commandment is to love God, then your
priorities will be right and you can love others even more
without pledging you "allegiance" to immorality.
Immorality is destructive to people and makes God sad.
We are wise to obey God.

To answer your question, yes I love how Jesus taught to
judge yourself first before you judge someone else.
It only is wise to do that. If you don't do that, you
are surely a hypocrite! True!

I just don't define tolerance as it is defined today, I
define it more like the "old school" definition which
I think is best.
Tolerance (modern): support everyone's "truth"
Tolerance ("old school"): treat everyone with respect and fairness, but you CAN give respectful input and don't have
to agree with anyone and those that don't agree with your
input need to be respectful towards you also and not say,
"stop preaching at me" - that is rude. In other words, those
that don't believe truth is relative need to be given respect
just as those whe believe truth is relative. Just because
you have the opinion that someone is living an immoral life
does NOT mean you are intolerant!

For me it has to be the story of the `Prodigal Son` the patience and love of the Father should be a lesson for all.

Well.....

Being a Christian myself, I tolerate sin all around me daily. There's nothing I can do about it but pray.

I have some homosexual co-workers. I don't hate them....I simply put up with their flaming dispositions.

Hate the sin.....love the sinner.

I have always been tolerant.
Stay out of my life, and I stay out of yours.
