Last night, the christian radio host was given the clue to the immunity idol, and she attributed her being shown this as an act of god. how did a girl, deciding the christian lady is the weakest link and showing her the idol, an act of god? She specifically said that it was god helping her out. Thoughts?

Alright, I'm trying to find where I stand in the religious realm of things and so far it has not been easy. I've always been "Christian" but I don't really ever go to church and I pray every night. Well for about a month I've been adding my bible to my routine. That's when it all started. I was entroduced to Mormonism and after much research decided ehh not for me. So I started new research and came across Prebyterianism.

So basically I've only learned a little bit about it and I saw there are "elders" and a "book of order" I want to make sure that before I look into this too much more that the elders and priesthood thing is different from the mormon elders and priesthood, also that the book of order is not considered a gospel as the the book of mormon is. any ways any other information you have that is NOT found in wikipedia (as I have already read all that) would be great.

Noah and his wife and his 3 sons were left and the following happened

"Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.

Now the very next passage goes as follows!!!!

"5By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands;"

Now how could a land filled with Gentiles exist if God wiped everyone out leaving only Noah, his three sons and their wives????

This does not make sense.

I look forward to more imaginative ideas from our Christian community.

Atheism in my humble opinion should be accepted. Shouldn't that be the pre-requisite?. How can know that what we believe is indeed valid? How do we know what we believe is not conspiracy and we are not being fed by Mindlessness. We should always question and have inquisitive minds. We follow our countries, our beliefs or whatever because we are in that environment. How can we trust media, religious people or anyone else who may well be emotionally attached to whatever thing and may be selfish and not mindful in supporting them. Only when we become atheist, there is a real chance of understanding God. Otherwise we may believe in a God that our ego has imposed on us. Dont get me wrong, i am not trying to take away hope just curious on reality!
Only when we become atheists we give ourselves a chance to listen, therefore, Shouldn't atheism be encouraged?

He was sure he was Allah's messenger, but even so, it does not strike me as good behaviour at all.
Its true some Old Testament figures were violent, but the standard was raised by Christ to a level that declares violence against others to forward ones's faith sinful. Conscience surely tells us so as well.

An ad for the sex fair shows kinky people arranged similarly to the painting "The Last Supper". The Last Supper is a painting that was made 1400 years after the event it portrays. No one knows what any of the people really looked like or the table or the room itself, it's an artist's interpretation. Actually, the painting is almost certainly NOT like the actual event, why would they all be sitting on one side of a long table? To make a nice painting of course. Catholics don't worship graven images, right? So why do they care if the kinky ad has people arranged like the Last Supper?

Aren't they beiing a little over-sensitive?

Noah sent out a female dove and it returned with the olive branch. When he sent it out again it never came back. hat meant that there was a poor male dove with no partner and thus the species should have died out!!!!
