Love is an emotional feeling, just like God.
I can feel love for my family and friends, but cannot feel God.
Others claim to feel God, which is great, but all of us can describe what love feels like and recognize is as a beneficial thing.
God on the other hand is described differently by different cultures and motivates great harm as well as good. Therefore God is really only an emotional belief that varies based on culture and sometimes is caused by loving feelings and other times caused by hate and revengeful feelings. God is just an emotion, really love and hate and all the other emotions.

Love is an emotion, a chemical reaction within your brain and body. God is a man made myth with no basis in any kind of reality. The two have no real connection.

Why are the 2 connected? I have no reason to believe that we cannot have love without God. From my readings of the Bible, God seems to be filled with HATE!

Love is something we all can understand and relate to as humans.
God, on the other hand, is not something that we can understand. So people have lots of questions about who, what, how, etc.. about God.
But these questions are trancendental. IE they are above space, time, and conception. So the human mind is not able to properly relate the mysteries of the universe and the mystery of God.

Atheists don't believe in Love. Love is a word, The chemical reactions behind the emotion are real but Love itself is not real.

Emotions are evolved responses that helped us adapt and survive in groups and build societies where we can live together. That doesn't diminish love for me. It does make hate and jealously more understandable although not desirable emotions. Animals "love" their young and this ensures that they care for them and raise them to survive and pass on their genes. I don't believe a deity poofed emotions into us, that makes no sense to me.

God is a fictional character. Love is a feeling. Some confuse the 2.

Emotions are the product of brain activity - electrical impulses, neurotransmitters, hormones, etc. That's why drugs can create or diminish emotions. Even animals have emotions. There's nothing supernatural about it.

I believe love is something I feel and it is my opinion. Do you love MY wife? Why not? If you did, you would feel as great as I do. I didn't always love my wife, but now I realize what I was missing.
Clearly this doesn't apply to everyone. Only me. My opinion.
