Probably because the morality taught in the Koran is very different from that of The Holy Bible and God. Example, Jesus said to love your enemy. Muhammad killed his enemies. Have a great day.

As salaamu 'alaikym, my misinformed friend.

Where did you get the idea that Muslims feel atheist have a greater sense of morality than fundamentalist Christians?

In the Holy Qur'an we are told that the Jews, Christians and Sabians are our spiritual brothers and sisters, the "ahl al kitab" or "people of the book".

Would one choose one who does not recognize nor possibly realize the existence of God over ones own brother or sister in faith?

Please, learn a bit more about a subject before you opine on the same.

Ma'a salaam.

Because the typical Atheist has a greater sense of morality and what it really is than most religious people.

Religious people tend to dislike Atheists because they are taught that they are bereft of morals and are wandering the earth in a confused state.

But when they actually meet one and get to know them, they find that they are actually very safe to be around.

If you were exploring a new country, would you rather stumble on a tribe of religious natives, who had beliefs that required sacrifices and crazy rituals that were followed vehemently, or would you rather stumble on a tribe that had no religious belief and spent their time trying to make life better for each other?

Atheism is just safer and therefore more moral

I don't think they do, but if they did, I suppose it would be because they felt that atheist morality is closer to their own than Christian morality.

Not exactly a feather in the cap of either atheists or muslims...

peace be upon you
i am muslim.
some of christians have morality and others no.
some of Atheists have morality and others no.
The Bible and the Jesus want people to have good ethics .and if they follow their religion well, they will be good.
Atheists don't follow our God who asked us to be good, but may have good ethics from another source.
i deal with both the same treatment by respect.

It is what can be seen, and people watch the news, the churches have been sued for hiding pedophiles in it, blessing the war effort, being involved in politics and all the other scandals.

I had no idea they felt this way. What are you basing this on? Individuals are individuals. Generalizing does nothing to spread truth.
