Even if you have never actually seen the person/entity/trinity/whatever? What kind of love is that?

I met this person on line and "sommat" really attracted me right from the get go. When we are told we are s'posed to love God, is that the same sort of love?

Are there differnt kinds?

from the time of Jesus until 1970..........

1,970 years of HATE for their fellow Christians who were black ?

No wonder they had so much hate for NON Christians.

Christians killed Millions of Jews and were racist against blacks for nearly 2,000 years.

Can you call them Christians who will enter Heaven ?

If not, then how is being saved any different then not being saved.

you say we are animals. the fittest survive, the weak die from their own weakness like animals in the jungle. do what feels good because we are just selfish animals. then you say you don't need any 'god' telling you to do good things because you have it in your hearts without a god to do it already, so youre better than christians. I mean so many Christians sing its praises and post here about how these miracles are always happening. Shouldn't miracles be offered as effective treatments in hospitals?

Most of you state clearly (as if it was certified truthful) that there is a God and that jesus existed, and the bible is true, etc. Buy why do you feel this way? What makes you feel that all of what you believe in is true? As far as you know, you could be wrong.

I may not be religious, but I don't ignore the possibility of a god or a holy spirit because I simply don't know the right answer. I choose to discriminate against religious people because I see no reason in blatantly following a religion, and getting offended by people who go against that religion.

Maybe just try and be open minded and see what you find out throughout your life. Or do whatever.

Therefore someone who believes in the crucifixion CANNOT believe in Gods ability to forgive sins just by asking from core of ones heart.

If we were to believe that Hell is actually a consuming fire, how can a spirit like soul feel pain? Spirits don't have nerve endings like material humans do.

If you say that there is a material component to the soul, then why haven't scientists found this?

Clearly, the churches definition of the soul is un-material (like a spirit). If the spirit were material, then it would not be immortal (like the churches say so). A spirit does not have senses like material humans do......

......So how can they be physically tortured in hell fire?

Adi Parva, Section XLII and XLIII (Astika Parva):
Kasyapa is described with words of praise - "that best of brahmanas," "bull among Munis" etc.

He was on his way to provide a cure to King Parikshit when he was fated to be bitten by the snake Takshaka. But on the way he met Takshaka, who offered him more wealth than he could have expected from the King. Therefore, Kasyapa turned away and did not offer the cure to the King.

Why would a high-souled Sage take wealth in this instance? This doesn't make sense to me.

If so, then know that their claim is a boastful statement based on arrogance and the belief that faith alone will save them.

When they say they are guaranteed Paradise by faith then they have negated the value of the Mercy of God by not acknowledging that the final decision rests upon GOD and he will judge based on HIS criterion which may include the fruits of faith.

Therefore, there is no guarantee for Paradise based on anyones faith alone and nobody can be proud of their status based on faith.

If anyone tells you that if you bring faith into your life you will be guaranteed Paradise then know that they are boasting about something that is not in their control.

Many atheists focus their arguments on the unlogical existence off god.
But whether god exists or not is not the issue here!

A hypothetical situation

You live in Nazi Germany
You can choose from 2 choices
Obey your fuhrer and join the German army
Or join a resistant grope and fight for you freedom

The same as in religion
You have “freedom” to choose your path
But if you don’t choose the right path you will be punished

So do you have freedom?

Well if there is a stupid god I rather rote in hell for all eternity knowing I did what I felt was right
Then be a mindless slave of a dictator

I prefer the roman mythology on monotheist religion
Ulysses had the courage to fight the will of the gods (Neptune). Monotheists haven’t got this courage to stand against their powerful god.

That what atheism is all about
The freedom to choose your way
Your morals and values
And not be dictated by religion cods.

Do majority of ordinary Christians know and understand what is and how is Sacrament performed? Have they joined the Sacrament? Or they do not bother to know or try to understand the Sacrament?

Do Muslims have rituals similar to Sacrament?

Many people in India go to the temple of "Lord Balaji (Venkateswara) at Tirupathi" and pray for something useful for them. They may even say before Balaji that such and such of my disire is fulfilled I will come to your temple at Tirupathi and make a darshan. Is this all true? Just by praying for something desired by someone will the lord Balaji fulfill them? How far this can be believed?
