d_r_siva: Unfortunately whatever few benefits may or may not accrue from belief, religion still presents a false explanation of the world as fact...I object because religions push untruth.

Everything makes sense once you accept that no gods actually exist.

Many questions were asked in the ancient Hindu texts about
the nature of Parama Atama (infinite soul, or Almighty) and
Atma (soul). In the olden days, Gurus used to put these
questions to disciples to test their knowledge.

What is the constituent material of Almighty? All created
materials are subject to decay and annihilation, Almighty
is above the influence of decay and annihilation. He
is eternal.

Then is Almighty a void? In terms of material
characteristics, Almighty is void (Soonya).

Can this lead to the logic that Almighty is not there?
No. Almighty is there. He is consciousness, the infinite
consciousness. The Atma which is a finite piece of Almighty,
according to Advaita Vedanta - the personal consciousness.
Soul was created in the likeness of Infinite Soul.

Since Atma is only a minute piece of Almighty, is it
subjected to annihilation? No. Atma is also eternal.

group ritual. It calms the 'collective unconscious' mind. The

Star for you.........

God is not absent from me.

God exists in another manner from what I expect.

He is also at work everywhere and all the time without my knowledge. I don't need God to be present to accept his work. I wish to address something in your question that I think you should hear.

Why is a question that casts doubts upon all situations to which you apply it. If it is doubt you are seeking than it's doubt you will find. If God chooses to be absent from you, you are doing too many things God finds abominable.

Having said that, I wonder why you call yourself a "pastor"

Good luck to you anyway

Sin in their lives causes people to shy away from the knowledge of God.

edit:

John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Unless God actually exists AND someone can actually read its mind, there is no possible way to know any "why" about said deity.

To believe God is absent is to believe you can exist alone.
