If so, then know that their claim is a boastful statement based on arrogance and the belief that faith alone will save them.

When they say they are guaranteed Paradise by faith then they have negated the value of the Mercy of God by not acknowledging that the final decision rests upon GOD and he will judge based on HIS criterion which may include the fruits of faith.

Therefore, there is no guarantee for Paradise based on anyones faith alone and nobody can be proud of their status based on faith.

If anyone tells you that if you bring faith into your life you will be guaranteed Paradise then know that they are boasting about something that is not in their control.

If is a Christians job, as commanded by God, to tell you about Christ.

But there is more to it than faith alone

Hear the Word
Believe the Word
Admit that you sin
Repent of your sin
Be Baptized
Live a Faithful life

And what would your source be my friend?

Faith is the only way. And if you accept Him through faith then your fruits will follow. Because when you accept Him by faith then you are indwellt with the Holy Spirit and He convicts you to produce fruit.

God's mercy is ultimate and final. He made the final decisions to show his love for mankind by doing the most loving thing for us. He died on the cross. He allowed Himself to be tortured and crucified to show His perfect, ultimate Love. That is His mercy. The final statement.

Now in Heaven you will be judged. Again His mercy. He will know you by your fruits or lack thereof. But faith is what he wants. Works can be done by anyone. Anyone can fake works. Anyone can perform acts of charity but they can't really Love without Faith.

Faith not acts are the key. Anyone can open a door if it's by works....only a select can open it if it's by Faith.

Nothing christians say about the christian religion is true because the bible is not the word of God. God gave us 2 priceless gifts to reveal the truth to us, Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit. Be smart, believe them, not christians or the bible.

Haven't had that one, but I was told by a person of another protestant denomination that my first baptism as an infant was not real and that I had to be "born again" before I could be saved.
Yet, she was the one going out and doing things that good girls should't be doing?? Had to talk to my pastor about that one!

I agree. It seems like they have a green card in their pockets ready to be delivered to those that go to their churches and that allows us to cross the border to heaven. I really don't think that "accepting Jesus" alone is enough. We have to accept, but we have to follow His example. Be humble, be forgiving, be loving and caring toward others. Christians can share their beliefs, but never force anyone to follow them. Jesus himself never forced anything upon people. He used to say "those who have ears", so He allows us to choose freely. Christians can become very obsessive sometimes, as if they receive commission for every "saved soul". Instead of making us interested to go to their churches, that makes us avoid them, because they become annoying. I choose to follow those who give good examples in life. If I see someone good, doing charity, showing love, forgiving, I will look forward to being close to that person. When we hang out with good guys, we become one of them, when we hang out with bad guys we become one of them, too. I want to be with those that are good, not with those that are judgmental, narrow-minded and fanatic.

Besides, as you said, only God can judge and only God knows what goes in our hearts.

You are completely wrong on this assumption. The bible clearly states that you are saved on faith alone and not on works. Arrogance is to claim that you got into heaven based on your own works, the final decision rests on you not on God, for it is us who send ourselves to hell not God. If people were saved based on this "value of mercy of God" without faith in Jesus' sacrifice, then what was the point of Jesus dying for mankind? God could have just pardoned everyone without the need of faith upon Christ, and furthermore His sacrifice on the cross.

You sound like my father!
I get that bit you're talking about mostly from people who committed a lot of sin and now claim to have been born again.

Well that is the first time I've ever heard it put that way........Thank you
Usually it's Accept Jesus or go to Hell........or.......Commit any sin, repent, accept Jesus and you will go to heaven.

It's nice to hear someone say that ultimately it is not up to them to judge others.
