Not me and I'm a Scientologist. Scientology has been highly misrepresented, Scientology is the study of the spirit in relationship with the universe. Is about thought over matter.

I don't!! ...And that "speech" the current scientologist wrote is right out of the book. They can't even come up with their own thoughts when asked a question. "It's an applied religious philosophy" That sentence alone is not completely true because some countries don't even recognize it as a religion. It's seen as a very profitable business.

And if you want to get nitty gritty about the whole thing, you can find court documents that proove this is what they believe because they sued the person who originally put it online. The scientologist who haven't heard of it either haven't made it to level 3 on their "bridge to total freedom" or they are lying to protect themselves and the cult. I don't know why they continue to protect it when so many people know about it now anyway.

Wouldn't worry about that limping clown, he was locked away a long time ago.

This seems to be a point of fascination with the public, perhaps you OSA stooges like thetaalways could come up with a better handling than quoting "What is Scientology" verbatim? Particularly since it's all semi-truth anyhow.

Concrete example: 10 million Scientologists? Count the IAS membership list for a reality check. Even if everyone who ever bought a book was using it (which they are not) this would barely be true. Reality says more like 80,000 max.

Let's face it, cat's out of the bag guys ... see you on the Ex-Scn Message Board.

Not me... and I'm a Scientologist.
Basically.... this is not what Scientology is, but what certain
deliberate misinformers/ misdirectors would like YOU to BELEIVE it's what Scientology is. That way you'll never find out what it really is .

Anyway... here's a brief factual description for you although you probably prefer the misinformation to the facts. (the facts are pretty boring and not sensational in the least)

Scientology is an applied religious philosophy. By “applied” is meant that it is for use in life a living. You actually use it in your day to day life to chandge and improve existing conditions. It is a practical religion.
All religions if you study them have a basic philosophy, but they also have certain dogma, rituals and observances and a certain faith or belief is required. There is nothing wrong with this , but Scientology is not that kind of religion. It acknowledges the priciple of God or the Supreme Being but does not try to define or describe this principle, leaving it up to the individual.
It is also not a messianic religion. This means there is no worship of prophets or messiahs.
It is not belief or faith based. In Scientology a truth is true for you according to your own observation and experience .
The dictionary definition that applies:

Religion: The spiritual or emotional attitude of one who recognises the existence of superhuman power or powers.

The most basic principle of Scientology is that YOU are your own immortal soul, that this is not a thing you have but what YOU actually are.
The whole purpose of Scientology knowledge, application and procedure is to increase an individual’s understanding and awareness of himself and to rehabilitate his native abilities and potential.
When you do this there sphere and zones of his positive influence increases and moves outward into his life , his family and friends, his groups and Mankind of which he is part .
Scientology considers that Man is basically good.
(Rather than "born in sin" or Evil unless "made good")

How these results are achieved is the “technology” of Scientology, which was developed by L Ron Hubbard from discoveries he made after his extensive research into the field of the mind and the human spirit.
Some of this knowledge was already existing in the ancient texts of the Veda or Vedic Hymns going back 10,000 years. New and additional discoveries were made and fully recorded and codified .
Hubbard published 18 basic books from 1950 to 1953 to fully communicate these basic [rinciples and the path of his research. He completed all his research before his death in 1986 and left all his materials and copyrights to the Church of Scientology’s Religious Technology Centre along with most of his personal estate when he died.

There are currently over 10 million Scientologists internationally in over 160 countries world wide. However it is still a new religion, less than 55 years old.
The true story of Scientology as a religion goes like this:
1. A philosopher developes a philosophy about life and death.
2. People find it interesting.
3. People find it works.
4. People pass it along to others.
5. It grows.

This is just an overview.
L.Ron Hubbard explained fully the theology and technologies of Scientology in more than 500,000 pages of writings, including dozens of books and over 3,000 tape recorded public lectures.

I tried a few of their courses. Great stuff. But I didnt hear any of what you just said.

However, said that like it sounds... well.... alot like many other religions. Not like them in specifics but like them in believability.
I take it that you are an atheist? Since if you are not then you might convert your own religion into such rewording and see if it doesnt sound just as bad.
