Sorry but I think (Lojique- because I'm not egotisic enought to say I'm right as I dont have the foresight of god) that there is a God, what god is I do not know but a man sat in a cloud does not appeal to me more a spiritual energy, and I believe in evolution.

Why isnt this compatible with some religions, I take the story of creation and adam and eve as a fable to try to make us understand the vast power of god and the world not as fact, god made everything including dinosaurs

i stress im not trying to prove or disprove anything im just curious about peoples opinions.

its something about "information" that is puzzling me

i mean if there is an object there is something to question right/wrong?

there is an object it has a set of rules behind it right/wrong?

these rules have an explanation right/wrong?

can an answer exist without someone to answer it?

my method of questioning is slightly annoying right/wrong?

In their world, God created everything. If they have such love for God, they should also contain a love for nature and thus helping in saving and supporting nature. In their world it would be Satan that is destroying nature (Gods creation). Shouldn't Christians be fighting Satan by helping stabilising nature?

and gen 1 states there are multible gods "let US make man in OUR immage" and the first commandment is "You shall have no OTHER GODS before me" does that mean there are other gods? Does god recognise there are other gods?

Two people stand side by side. Both believe in God.

One goes to church every Sunday, reads his Bible every day, and tells everyone he knows about God. He drives a big SUV, lives in a big house, and tithes every Sunday.

One goes to church every once in awhile, if he's not hungover. He reads his Bible when he remembers, but instead of preaching to other people he just accepts them how they are. He doesn't tithe really, but he gives his time to work at soup kitchens and homeless shelters. He does his best to buy products that weren't tested on animals or made in sweatshops, and supports local businesses and charities.

Who, by your standards, is the "better" person? Which life is more desirable? The one where all the rules are followed, or the one who isn't living by legalistic standards yet lives a more humble and giving life?

I mean, a life spent not having alcohol, or not cutting your hair, or not eating beef or pork.....because some ancestors (who to be fair, were born thousands of years before we even knew the earth was flat), said so, seems like a bit of a waste of time.

You'd think that if there really was an all powerful being, he would occasionally remind us with a bit of a a show, especially now we have the internet and video cameras etc. JUST once God/Allah/Budda/ or whoever the Mormans are worshipping, would show up, during the news and say 'Its me, i am all powerful, all knowing and you better start worshipping me, not the other three Bozo's!!'
In this day and age of enlightedment, 'faith' now reads to me as 'gullible'.

Happy to hear your discussions, but please remember in 100 years time, we will all just be fertilizer.....no heaven, no virgins in paradise,,,no everlasting harp playing on clouds etc.

I mean... we wouldn't even call them laws if the entirety of all we can be aware of didn't abide by them...
.... And whenever an exception to the laws of physics is found and confirmed, they have to be re-written to account for the method by which they were broken before....
How the hell can the laws of physics or indeed ANY governing laws of reality be rewritten to compensate for an omnipotent being.... and how is this supposed to influence our everyday lives?

had so many people never heard of God until Imperialism brought the word of God to their countries?

I mean seriously, if God is everywhere Africa would already have known about him before Christian countries went there, as would the South American and North American Indians, the Maouris, Aborigines etc. Is it not a case that religion is learned and not innately known from brith?
